Hi, it all depents on which motors, batteries, and the total weight. You should try to use ECALC http://www.ecalc.ch/xcoptercalc_e.htm but this is not the real world, it will just give you some guiding on which size props will be best.

Have you checked that all trimms on your TX are at zero ?

It looks to me like the 16" props from a Microdrones MD4-1000, they use a special prop mount, mittel hole to center ans two screws. I dont think it will work to drill the center hole bigger.
