Yeah you can smooth it off. Set some endpoints and expo and you can stop super smooth.

The Zenmuse is great, it just works. Go for it.

Oh yes, do it outside away from metal and electrical things. Ideally you want good satellite connection also. I would also consider doing the compass calibration again (I forget what the advanced calibration is for on the Phantom).
