Anyone else struggling to get hold of the CAA?

Good question. Is the area actually congested where you intend to fly? If it's just ATC clearance you need then it's NATS you need to contact, although they are not giving permission for >7kg flights at the moment....but they aren't denying it either. There's a little legal wrangling between...

The ALL New DJI S900 Hexacopter!

It's a personal choice. I have only experienced Spektrum transmitters so am not the best person to ask. I have had nothing but a great experience with them. All I can say is....the more channels the better! You've got control modes for the FC and Gimbal, retracts and taking photos/videos, not...

DJI has released its Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) 3-axis HD gimbal stabilization system

Oh yeah, just read your previous post. Sorry dude. You can still get HD out if you bypass the Zenmuse and just plug in a separate cable.

DJI has released its Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) 3-axis HD gimbal stabilization system

He probably mis-read the specs, it puts out AV & HD at the flick of a switch.

DJI has released its Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) 3-axis HD gimbal stabilization system

I think he means if you want an HD downlink, which very few people need. I'm happy with 5.8GHz SD resolution, as most people are, as all you are doing is framing shots, not broadcasting live.

    GH4 vs BMPCC

Thanks my good man. Yeah, the GH4 offers so much more flexibility for me, and I really need a 4K camera as I don't have one (and will never be able to afford to lift a RED!). It's mostly broadcast TV I do so the BMPCC would not be so well received by the person who has to deal with the footage...

    GH4 vs BMPCC

Right, GH4 it is. Not sure why I even doubted myself! (Oh right, I was trying to save 350g!)

    GH4 vs BMPCC

Hi, I am at a crossroads. I have been a Panasonic man for a while and have just assumed I would be going for a GH4. But then there's the BMPCC. I love the look of Black Magic footage and it weighs a little less (350g ish) than the GH4. My work is both photography and filming in equal measure...

jes1111 Brilliant, just brilliant! I see we both went similar ways with this. I spent all morning reading some of those documents but had no idea how to put it into a coherent paragraph, like you so excellently did! :nevreness: Kinetic energy of impact! That was it! I knew I heard that...
