hi Ross you absolutely right, this test was just for valuate how good was working the gimbal
i forgot to care of the autofocus but have to say that GH2 has a good management of it also in particular conditions like this
next time will put more attention

It's very promissing as it is anaka, I'm sure you will suss it out. Will you be using manual focus in future or let the cam decide?

I think the general consensus has been to use manual focus, focusing on infinity, for aerial videos. However, I think if the camera is good enough it's good to let it auto focus - so you get nice far off images, yet sharp close-up stuff too if you fly close to objects and written signs etc.

for Ross and RCFlying, yes the manual focus is the more professional way to work but the problem is that at the moment still we all miss a good HD video wireless systems so we can only get VGA quality for the ground station that remotes the camera, hope to see soon a good inprovement on signal transmission becouse it's really hard to do a manual focus on a VGA resolution

For Paul@scc, after several improvements in mechanics I decided to implement fast Hictech Digital servos
the servos work in their original way, no external pots, direct drive on nick and roll axes, no modifications to original mechanics of the AV130, this way I can ever go back to original Photohigher configfuration

Daniel,

Great footage. Well done. What are you using for monitoring your NEX 5N video signal?

Hi, thanks for the comment.
Im using a fpv camera on top of a sony 16mm 2.8 lens......setup in the monitor on ground to match same angle of view.
Tried the hdmi converter but i just use it on the AV200, where there is more room to put it.

thanks

daniel
