Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

Wow, that is so cool! I'd be afraid to wear googles that close to the edge. Knowing me I'd walk right off the cliff.

    HDMI to AV Converter

I bought one of this long ago and it didn't work at all. Not with anything. Dead as a door nail. The cost was quite high and I replaced it the same exact unit that was less than $50. It was quite simple to do the same modification that they do by taking off the RCA connectors, wiring in a power...

    HDMI to AV Converter

Thanks for that. I've discovered that it does work at the lower 4K setting of 3840 which doesn't require lowering the system frequency. It's only with the the full 4k resolution that it doesn't work as that requires the camera to be set to a lower frequency. I'm surprised you haven't done any 4k...

    AVOID Hobby King!

That's quite an unfortunate experience and I can understand your frustration. I believe Walkera uses 3DR APM flight controllers which are quite good but all flight controllers can cause issues in various circumstances. I can't really comment on the specific technical issues you had but you are...

    HDMI to AV Converter

Do you have issues with the GH4 when set to 4k? I've got the same converter and when I change the camera to 24hz so I can use 4k options the image drops out.

Getting the coordinates by non-GPS: is it possible?

I doubt you could do this with a DJI systems as they are closed proprietory systems. You can interface with them through a SDK but I doubt it will allow the level of access you want. You probably would be better off with a PX4 or Pixhawk flight controller. They are used extensively in research...

    Introducing The Splash Drone Pro

In case anyone is interested here's a video of the Aquacopter I hacked to add a gimbal. The little container on the top is where I put the APM 2.6 flight controller as the inside of the copter was getting a bit tight and hot. It works well but as you can see it's not nearly as slick as the...

    Introducing The Splash Drone Pro

Fantastic! Really nice job. Some time ago I had to hack together a similar setup which was a real pain. It's great to see someone has finally put the whole package together properly.

    OK, WTF!

I had a similar experience with a SkyJib once. I've never powered up a copter with props on inside since then. It was only three stitches because I was incredibly lucky like you.

    WKM Crash at takeoff

Sounds like the copter has had a lot of use. What type of motors are on it and have you checked or changed the bearings?

    Battery switch suggestion

You'd be looking for something like this I think. I decided against it as it's going to heat up in use and it's a bit large.

What did you do with your DJI Inspire 1 today?

Doesn't sound right to me. My Inspire is rock solid. Indeed, in windy conditions it's my go to copter. It is a much different flyer than a heavy camera ship though. One thing that absolutely amazes me is that you can fly it as fast as you want and when you apply the brakes and it does it's...

    A2 fly-away and crash

You had your failsafe set to hover and you had a fly-away??? That kind of negates all the theories that were given here about the home location being incorrect. Honestly, until DJI releases their code for peer review none of us will ever be able to trust it. I'm amazed we haven't had more...

    A2 fly-away and crash

What's a CSC command? And does it require the Rx or FC? I'm trying to make this independent as possible from any functions of the Rx and certainly the FC.

    A2 fly-away and crash

I gave up on the parachute idea long ago. Much too heavy and ineffective at the low heights I fly at. Not much good for a fly-away either. BTW and OT - Saw the photos of your monster pumpkins in another thread. Just awesome! Who doesn't like a giant pumpkin eh?
