Gunter ... One other thing you may need is a right angle mini HDMI to normal HDMI cable. This allows the cable to clear the gimbal. Mine came off eBay. Mombassa Flash has done the same mods but his right angle connector went the opposite direction. Its worth checking before ordering...

Mikrokopter Why does our MK/Droidworx Y6 yaw better clockwise than anticlockwise ?

Aircon Rob has suggested the batteries may well be too low a capacity so we're going to try a bigger pack tomorrow. thanks Rob andy

I took off all the connectors other than the HDMI socket as well as discarding the case. Power and composite out connections were soldered directly to the PCB. The PCB is 85x115x8 mm I put it in a box with a Mondo Stinger 100mW Tx and a 5v regulator Gunter ... There are several makes out...

Mikrokopter Why does our MK/Droidworx Y6 yaw better clockwise than anticlockwise ?

Spent the evening checking motor assignments & alignments and prop directions. These all seem correct. We're using 4s 3900mAh 20C batteries so I'm reasonably sure we have enough capacity. On a couple of flights, a power climb did induce yaw but the battery was nowhere near full capacity so low...

Gunter .... Reading the manual it seems as if the only video out is via the HDMI port, none via the USB port . So you will need an HDMI to Composite converter plus a 5 volt power source for it. We use one on our NEX-5 and it does work well. You can get them off Amazon or eBay for around £50. Its...

Mikrokopter Why does our MK/Droidworx Y6 yaw better clockwise than anticlockwise ?

We have a problem with our Y6 yawing better one way than the other. It becomes worse after a few minutes flying when sometimes a strong uncommanded yaw may happen. After this yawing to the right becomes near impossible. Anyone seen similar behaviour ? andy

    MK Hexa becomes Droidworx Y6

Plingboot .... WK just threats at the moment.... scare the MK blighter into submission Ken ... disconnected Nc and GPS .... yaw still happens Dave ... beginning to think at least part of the problem is the extra power taken through the BLs compared to the original motors. Its not all...

    MK Hexa becomes Droidworx Y6

Dave ... We're both well and truly 'rabbit holed' - new definition for the urban dictionary. You said you were upgrading to v0.86 flight control. Did you ? I'm thinking about dropping back down to 0.84 as an experiment. We got no error messages at all and it flew beautifully in every other...

    MK Hexa becomes Droidworx Y6

Confidence level shattered ..... Lec flew the Y6 today to test it under more realistic conditions than just hovering around in the back garden. It all started well, low altitude flights within the garden confines so Lec flew father away and higher. The increased power was really noticeable and...

I'm glad someone else was a little dubious about the Droidworx battery bay. We'll be using brick style LiPos and there was no way I'd fly a single flat pack without extra restraints. I'm also working through where to put the HDMI Composite converter. I'm going to strip the converter right down...

    Loc-tite on Prop studs

Alu prop adaptors are made of cheese then. So lock washers it is, just have to make sure I don't drop them in the middle of a field. How about second nut as a lock nut ? This question has been of interest with respect to our new Y6 as the lower props will lose their nuts due to vibration and...

    MK Hexa becomes Droidworx Y6

Really happy with the y6 config. amazed how it flew without any trimming. It's abit of a different kettle of fish compared with the MK hexa. It was hovering at around 20% power whereas the old hex was more like 60% so I'm going to have to adjust to the new 'power curve' Looking to get it out in...

    Loc-tite on Prop studs

Dave... I'm using Geoff's TorxPower motors so hope they are good tuff prop adaptors. Aluminium Nylocs are available from push bike dealers ... mostly in 1990's purple anodisation. I'll look around for a different colour ! andy
