    US Aircraft Registrations, AMA Update

Oh lucky you... Then again, perhaps your people will act with the same level of agility ours do.

DJI announcement on new geofencing system

Although most of us do not like having flight restrictions imposed by a manufacturer I suspect we'll be seeing similar software generated restrictions coming from every maker of high end FC's if they want to stay in business. I'm curious how the user determinable maximum altitude settings for...

DJI announcement on new geofencing system

Some good points but like the rest of Corporate America, it's more about assuring continued sales volume while shifting as much liability as possible. However, it's been evident for some time that many users need to be held accountable, and a very large percentage of those people use DJI products..

    Blade Chroma with CGO3 4k

Thanks for trying. Managed to get out of the start up repair and into a memory check. It may well be hopeless but I can't give up without trying. Hedged my bets and bought another laptop. Downside has it out 6 days from pick up. Then all the wonderful tasks associated with starting over...

Revisit a age old debate, Esc's mounted on the arms.

This EM radiation, or cross talk, is usually more prevalent with smaller gauge wires, generating the need to twist wires. Larger gauge do fine in tight parellel.

    Blade Chroma with CGO3 4k

Nope, auto returns to start up repair. Not an available option with F2 or F12 keys during boot either. Thanks though. Just went out looking at new laptops since the other one is 4 years old. Bad part of that is everything is now Windows 10 and the Chroma GUI software does not like Windows 10.

    The Allure of "Drones"

Found this in my spam box this morning. It seems that businesses recognize what people want. OTOH, at least this business sells products people that make our little aircraft have use of. http://hosted.verticalresponse.com/787367/ef7a8e9c96/1481061889/cead33b518/

Bart, AMA insurance coverage extends to pretty much anywhere as long as the flying is conducted in a manner that complies with AMA safety regulations. As you mentioned, AMA insurance is secondary to any other insurance coverage you may have, such as homeowners.

    Blade 350QX2 with GPS fails

For those that want to shield electrical components, there's a product made of copper foil that does an excellent job of shielding against electro/magnetic and radio noise. Far better than aluminum foil and good enough for military applications. Check the usual electronic supply sources.

    Blade Chroma with CGO3 4k

I didn't want to be the one to say that, although even at 6.3A it's still only a 69.93 watt hour battery, well under the 100 watt hour/battery cap they put on bulk battery shipments. However, it is interesting they make it a point to state it's a 59.94Wh battery on the label as it currently...

    Blade Chroma with CGO3 4k

You're most welcome. Although it's coming piecemeal I hope to provide a relatively accurate overview of it. No denying it will be interspersed with personal likes and dislikes but if it was all good everyone would know I was lying about something;)

    Blade Chroma with CGO3 4k

Battery Charging The Chroma uses a proprietary outer shell battery that may be labeled as a 3s, 5400ma battery. It's not, it's 6300ma and labeling will be corrected in the future. The unit is shipped with an E-Flite 10.5v-15vDC battery charger, a battery adapter, a 110v-240V AC-DC charger...

    350 QX flies sideways~ ?

I'm guessing one of the trims might be off center. If that's not it I would contact Horizon's customer service people. That's what they are there for.
