Blade 350QX2 with GPS fails

I've had my quad for 5 months and added a GB200 gimbal with Mobius (unshielded) camera. Flying with a Spektrum DX6i radio. Had a few good flights and excellent videos. All flights in Safe mode. Average time to GPS set, about 2 min.
NOW THE PROBLEM!
/////////////////////////
I want to do FPV, thus combining the new Mobius (shielded), with a small transmitter (TX) shielded with copper foil. Skyzone goggles and FoxTech 7 in. video monitor. I get excellent videos from Mobius TX'd to either goggles or video monitor. Haven't taken quad out with all, because of GPS fails.
So……..
I mounted the TX on the top front of the quad.
Regardless where I put the TX, and Mobius cam, I can't get a GPS fix.
I've taken the (disconnected) TX off the quad. No GPS!
I've taken the (disconnected) mobius off the quad … No GPS
Before I take my quad apart, anybody got suggestions?
THX,
Rick

Well it looks like it's not related to your FPV. I don't know anything about the blade qx but I had a minor flip and crash on my quad and broke the GPS compass. It would never get a satellite lock again. I put another compass on it and it worked fine. If your compass is exposed and it receives a good hit it may have broken.

Hi John,
Since my above, I have taken my quad apart, lined the inside lower section with aluminum foil tape. Purchased a new shielded Mobius camera, and shielded my transmitter. Additionally, I re-positioned the GPS antenna and smaller GPS unit from a vertical position on one side of the battery cage back on top of the battery cage (that was where Blade had it in older units). This month, Vision surgery and shoulder surgery prevents me from further work and tryout tests until next Spring. BTW, I have fully tested the compass and it's OK.

Ok, so you think it was your video transmitter interfering with the gps? But I thought you said you took the Mobius and video transmitter off the quad and it still wouldn't get a gps lock?

And just to confirm, are you using the typical 5.8 ghz video transmitter?
Reply to both;
Yes, I took both camera and transmitter off, and yes, I'm using a 5.8ghzTX.

However, GPS antenna location was possible culprit. BUT JIC, I did try to cover my bases with shielding, GPS antenna reconfig. etc.

For those that want to shield electrical components, there's a product made of copper foil that does an excellent job of shielding against electro/magnetic and radio noise. Far better than aluminum foil and good enough for military applications. Check the usual electronic supply sources.
