I'm probably going to hell for this one........

Look at it this way, someone beat you to it with the design so you at least won't be alone, and they arrived long enough ago to be able to show you the good places to eat.

    Airborne Mechatronics Special US pricing!!

First post in the general forum and it's an advertisement. Please, at least for this house don't tell us how great you think it is and follow up with a selling price, take the time to show us why you think it's so great and what it has that makes it so. A basic X-8 with a Pelican case starts...

Would this be the Kickstarter.com version of the "Flip of Death"?

Bart, Realistically, how many people believe most of the Kickstarter fund raising activities for multirotors are not scams? When looking at some of them ya gotta figure people would have to have a couple screws loose to send them a penny.

Rogue drone crashes into Ferris wheel....oh brother

John, That kind of activity has not been limited to our MR version of UAV's. It's also occurred with RC airplanes. I was involved in a criminal trial that originally started out with a land owner using a shotgun in attempts to shoot down RC planes at a neighboring flying field back in 2005...

    US Aircraft Registrations, AMA Update

Does anyone else find it strange that discussions that will determine the who and how our trade will be allowed to operate are being held in secret with a government that is Constitutionally required to be representative of the People? This secrecy agreement goes all the way back to the...

Rogue drone crashes into Ferris wheel....oh brother

Naw, I just work for one of the outfits that's telling the FAA how it's gonna be.

Rogue drone crashes into Ferris wheel....oh brother

We are faced with the problem of DJI's insistence of marketing a longer range sUAS than anyone one else markets. The Phantom line is widely touted as having superb BLOS operating capability, with DJI marketing equipment to extend that range even further.. So we have a case of DJI holding the...

Rogue drone crashes into Ferris wheel....oh brother

In the photo with the article the cop is holding what is indeed the most common MR involved in these events. A Phantom. Since they recovered the MR but not the operator this added more support for drone registration. Two things are certain, MR operators need to be more responsible and the...

Anyone check Tx control frequency for problems before flying

Bart, That works great for aircraft but range checking a multirotor just doesn't provide the visual stimulus of moving flight surfaces. This is an area where someone with the imagination and skills could develop a new product that would provide such stimulus for range checks. Link it to a...

A more truthful statement has never been made:)

    NEW!! Xiro Xplorers

Anyone that elects to use the 5.8 frequency band for command and control has a screw loose. I don't care who else is doing it, it's the weakest link in the entire system.

    DJI - Phantom X Concept

There have been several in the small toy category that can be thrown and then have the throttle advanced and fully self recover from the gyrations of the toss. I flew one of them in my living room.

    DJI - Phantom X Concept

Not the most flattering product article by any means. OTOH, the girls used in the shoot looked pretty good:p

    DJI - Phantom X Concept

Haven't looked at any of the Phantom X stuff yet but the new Inspire cameras are certainly good stuff. The stills are incredible for consumer level equipment.

Only two ways to do that. Throw money at them or vote. I'll let everyone else deduce which is the most effective.

Just saw this on Drudge... thank you NYPD. Not.

This is true. Written law is to be viewed/used in the literal sense. When other published law is used as foundational documents the severity of the FAA published document is that much more dire.

    Yuneec Q500 RTF AP/AV Heli

Bart was correct when he mentioned I purchased a Chroma CGO3 package in 4k. I'm heading home to Cali in a couple days and it should be waiting for me when I arrive. I plan on working with it and sharing what I find. The Chroma and Q-500/Typhoon share the same ST-10 transmitter and video...
