The Autoleveling smoothness setting is not in any way coupled to the control of your camera mount on the HoverflyPro. You can adjust it without fear of it affecting your camera mount's movements.

If you hooked up the receiver power to the HFG, this could work. Just plug a servo connector into one of your RX channels and the other end into the HFG. Just disconnect the signal wire from the receiver.

The HFG feeds the voltage directly from it's power port to the servos. So, if you have servos that can only use 6v you shouldn't feed the HFG more than 6v.

Can you tell us why you would want it?

For Autoleveling, just use your trims like normal. Make sure to power cycle your HoverflyPro before using normal mode again. This will re-calibrate normal mode for use with the adjusted trims.

It's just about ready, along with some other improvements I think you'll like.

I would check your AL and AH switches. A friend of mine had this kind of thing happen, turns out AL and AH were swapped. You can verify this with the setup client.

Make sure the purple light is flashing. If it's not you didn't flip the switches correctly when flashing. Also make sure you have the latest setup client version (1.5.0.59). If you're still having trouble, you may want to fill out a support ticket.

We have experimented with all of these things and it's way more complicated than a simple complimentary filter. It may work well for a balancing robot, but a flying machine is a totally different animal. If you guys can fill out a support ticket with a video of this happening, it would help...

Since I worked with you, I'm pretty sure we figured out what caused the problems you were seeing. I think it's related to magnetic interference from your ESCs/wiring harness. The compass would look fine on the ground, but swing all over the place while flying. Which may be why you were seeing...

I've tested this with the X8 and Y6, though not with all motors, just swapping one axis. But based upon that, there is no reason it wouldn't work for all motors if done correctly.

I believe Dan is working on this issue. I would start with checking your temperature compensation. Use a hair dryer to create a temperature difference and make 100% sure that the HoverflyGIMBAL doesn't move at all during this process.

Sorry, the firmware update service has been down for a little bit. It should be back up soon.

Doing this doesn't require a firmware update. Just swap which port the motor connects to. Connect the bottom motors to the ports for the top motors on the HFP. Just make sure your top props now spin the opposite direction.
