Hoverfly OSD not level - any ideas?

There was an update to the old setup client, this is not what you need. You need the v4.6 or higher setup client on the link I posted. Make sure that version number at the bottom of the setup client says 4.6.0.2 or greater

Hoverfly OSD not level - any ideas?

You need the v4.6 setup client for the calibration to work with the new firmware. You can get it here: http://www.hoverflyupdate.com/setupClient4.6/publish.htm I think this is what is causing the issue you are having.

Hoverfly New Hoverfly PRO Firmware v4.6

I think I figured out what is going on. You need v4.6 or higher of the setup client for the new accelerometer calibration to work correctly. Get it here: http://www.hoverflyupdate.com/setupClient4.6/publish.htm

Hoverfly New Hoverfly PRO Firmware v4.6

New altitude hold uses all of the sensors on your HoverflyPro. Having a correct / level horizon is particularly important. If you can, check the horizon on your OSD when the HoverflyPro is ready to fly.

Hoverfly Twitchy HoverFly Pro XHex issue with Version 4.6 Firmware

Unfortunately, the HoverflyPro doesn't know what the ESCs are actually doing. It only knows what it told them to do. So the logs may not help in this case.

Hoverfly Twitchy HoverFly Pro XHex issue with Version 4.6 Firmware

To solve another issue, we stopped recording flight logs on the HoverflyPro. They are only recorded on the HoverflyGPS now. This is why the file is empty. Haven't had a chance to update the setup client to reflect this. It sounds like you have a power / ESC issue based on the symptoms you...

    Hoverfly Hoverfly GPS

From just reading about it on paper, the major difference is that the new version may get a new fix much faster if it has had a fix in the last 4 hours. Definitely nice when out in the field! Other than that the performance should be very similar.

Hoverfly No Tilt Stabilization or control after flashing to 4.6

Huck, Can you confirm that the tilt slider moves in the setup client with your radio's control? Thanks, George

    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller?

Sorry to hear about this. The HoverflyGIMBAL does this to prevent drift when in angle velocity mode. If we didn't do this and you hadn't put your tilt level back to center, your camera would smash into the ground when you turned on your camera mount anyway. The best thing to do is simply get...

Hoverfly New Hoverfly PRO Firmware v4.6

Sorry to hear about it. I would make sure to follow the two guides below. 1. https://hoverflytech.zendesk.com/entries/21447258-throttle-range-setup-for-hoverflypro 2. https://hoverflytech.zendesk.com/entries/22418976-new-altitude-hold-v4-6-and-above Ensure you do not change your throttle's...

Hoverfly HFGimbal and Photoship One 3XPro

We have one in the office, but I have been on holiday all week. I will try to remember to get it setup / take some pictures when I get back. It's really pretty cool!

    Hoverfly HFP setup

The gimbal output on the HoverflyPro ties the BEC in your ESCs to the servos meaning you get 5v to your servos only when the main battery is plugged in. The HoverflyGIMBAL can either be set to two moves. In one mode the incoming voltage is regulated to 5v. In another, the incoming voltage...

    Hoverfly X-Bee expansion

It isn't supported yet, but will be required for other features in the future.

    Hoverfly Quick AH question

By soldering a 10k resistor between the signal and ground on the Altitude Hold port, you ensure that this line never sees a high signal unless it has a channel from your RX connected. I do not think this is what you should do as it doesn't address the issue you are seeing. Have you tried...

Hoverfly New Hoverfly PRO Firmware v4.6

So, the Gain (How much a certain feature corrects for disturbances) is defined by the ATV / end point adjustment in your radio. If the gain is too high, you will get oscillation. If it is too low your multi-rotor will float about imprecisely...

    Hoverfly HFP setup

Technically you only need a 3-way switch for GPS functions. All other functions should use a 2-way switch. I think PaNT was pointing out that many people use a 3-way switch for AH and it is ok to do so.

    Hoverfly Quick AH question

It's probably not what you want to hear, but you should leave it connected to a receiver or pull the pin down with a 10k resistor.

    Hoverfly HoverFly Pro PID Gains

I think you mean the HoverflyGIMBAL PID gains. They just control how much of each type of correction is made.

Hoverfly New Hoverfly PRO Firmware v4.6

It's possible you need a lower gain than 20. Try starting at 10%. You should also see the altitude indication change in the setup client if you raise the board above your head.

Hoverfly New Hoverfly PRO Firmware v4.6

As long as it's working, there isn't anything wrong with low gain. Most of the aircraft we tested required something like 25% - 50% I'm guessing that you either have much higher or much lower than 2:1 thrust to weight ratio.
