There was an update to the old setup client, this is not what you need. You need the v4.6 or higher setup client on the link I posted. Make sure that version number at the bottom of the setup client says 4.6.0.2 or greater

New altitude hold uses all of the sensors on your HoverflyPro. Having a correct / level horizon is particularly important. If you can, check the horizon on your OSD when the HoverflyPro is ready to fly.

Unfortunately, the HoverflyPro doesn't know what the ESCs are actually doing. It only knows what it told them to do. So the logs may not help in this case.

From just reading about it on paper, the major difference is that the new version may get a new fix much faster if it has had a fix in the last 4 hours. Definitely nice when out in the field! Other than that the performance should be very similar.

Technically you only need a 3-way switch for GPS functions. All other functions should use a 2-way switch. I think PaNT was pointing out that many people use a 3-way switch for AH and it is ok to do so.

I think you mean the HoverflyGIMBAL PID gains. They just control how much of each type of correction is made.

It's possible you need a lower gain than 20. Try starting at 10%. You should also see the altitude indication change in the setup client if you raise the board above your head.

As long as it's working, there isn't anything wrong with low gain. Most of the aircraft we tested required something like 25% - 50% I'm guessing that you either have much higher or much lower than 2:1 thrust to weight ratio.
