The issue with me was not the v5.12 software but the fact that DJI replaced my WKM MC since it was an older unit and had issues with my S800. Don't confuse my issues with a normal set up. I am still waiting for my new S/N so until I get that I cannot say with confidence that it works well...

Have your removed the USB driver? Mine failed until I did that. Other than that, I would contact DJI. They have the capability to log into your system to troubleshoot the problem. They did that with mine when I first got it and had problems.

I know that the UHF receiver is on the back but I would try between the D and the S on the top plate. That would make a really clean install, especially if you painted the GPS black. Very stealthy. I won't be using UHF since I am fine with less that 2k performance.

Quick question off topic. I have a Discovery frame ordered with the Core pre soldered. It should be here in a week or so. How do you have your GPS mounted on your Discovery?

On the inside of the right rear arm. My Rx is on the left rear arm. On the F450 the satellite is under the vTx on the rear tab. On the F550 the satellite is on the right rear arm opposite the VU.

Nope, I have mine on the left rear arm on my F450 near my 5.8 gHz vTx and opposite my OSD GPS on the right front arm and just in front of the lipo between M1 and M2 on the top plate on my F550. Both work great.

Are you weight biased towards the rear? Static balance is important as well as the dynamic balance.

It sounds like you need a new GPS/Compass module. $169 for a replacement. You could send it back to your dealer to see if they can trouble shoot it before you replace it. I did the same thing, lawn dart from about 50ft up GPS first. GPS toast.

I have an Elgato usb capture for my Mac. It is not the one you showed. I want to use it for just video capture. I would never fly by the capture on my Mac. The latency would be much to much. You could use it to frame camera shots or record your FPV flights.

I got mine today. I replied to the dji email as soon as it was available. I ordered my S800 direct from DJI and got one of the first ones. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Ground, the brown or black wire, is up and the signal, usually yellow is down.
