S800 (w/15) sudden rapid descents... any ideas?

With Intelligent you have several seconds before the motors shut off. There is one user that has a Tx mix that limits his minimum throttle to more than 10% so he can never go into motor shutdown even if the stick is bottomed.

First test flight with Zenmuse and S800

I was part of the preorder and got mine from DJI. They replaced the escs to me directly. I got 6 that I had to resolder to the arms and motors. It appears that it has been handled in a different manner depending on your dealer.

Looking for a DJI s800 case?

If you are interested I would snap this up. Even the guys at DJI can't get their hands on one.

First test flight with Zenmuse and S800

The S800 has leds on each arm. If you look closely, you can see a small red spot on two of them. I put them in the front and the four greens in the other positions. You really can't see them well until the copter is well above you. The mode led fits between the top and bottom plate. Just...

Kloners Disco, lets try this again

I got mine in the air today. It was 107 and winds were 5-7 with higher gusts. It bounced the Disco around with the 10" graupners. I may try the 8" next time out. I used the green silicon pad and was happy with the isolation for the GoPro. I tried 720p and I am going back to 1080p. Narrower...

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

Look at the second comment. I don't think that you want that in-between your receiver and the Naza. Your choice, but I would not do it.

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

Gencode you can set a mix to force Failsafe and it does work well even with the AR6115. The problem will be if you ever loose the signal from the Tx. If you fly conservatively and in LOS you shouldn't have any problems.

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

Gencode that is not true. You can do it. It will require a mix in your transmitter for a switch or if you turn off the Tx or loose signal with a AR 7XXX receiver set up with a Preset Failsafe it will RTH. Like I said, if you want to talk let me know. P.S. I owned a Dx8 and sold it to a...

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

Yea, you have to have Aux 1 and Aux 2 to make this work. Sorry. With a 6 channel tx you still may not have enough channels. You need 4 for th, ail, elev, and rudder. That only gives you mode, the Aux1 channel, and Gear or Aux 2 for IOC. You can set up a mix for the RTH function or shut off...

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

You are welcome. I don't want people to crash their valuable craft. I have and it is not fun, we all learn from each other. Pass it on.

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

I would connect Aux 1 to the U channel on the Naza and enable the Fmode switch. That will give you a three position switch for mode. Gear can go to X1 and Aux 2 to X2. The problem is that you have no other three position switches. I think that the IOC can be set up on a two position switch...

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

That is the result that you want. You should not have an issue with Loose of Signal when the Rx goes into preset failsafe. Hopefully you will never need it, but it is there when you do.

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

Gencode, it is a receiver function that has nothing to do with the transmitter. Even though the receiver has more channels that your transmitter you will be fine. Just for my information, how do you have the channels set up in your Dx6i for Mode, IOC and RTH?

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

It takes an AR 7XXX and above that has a Data Port to support Preset Failsafe. The lower models will not. I picked up 2 of the AR7010 with satellite for $89 each which I think is a bargain.

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

Move your minimum value from 100% to 10%. That will work. I think of Zero throttle as -100% and full throttle as 100%. Sorry for the confusion.

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

You are on the right track. Yes the slider will move to failsafe, but what does the throttle do. If it stays at Zero, the motors will stop. If it is above 10% they will continue to stabilize the craft and start the RTH program. These are great FC's that do amazing things for little money...

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

I am glad you are happy with yours. I have two and am also happy with mine. I am always in a good mood. Unfortunately the AR 6115e does not support preset failsafe. In order to get that feature you will have to upgrade your receiver. You can check the Horizon web site for more references...

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

That is why you move the end point of the throttle from -100% to -10% and it will allow you to set the preset Failsafe. You were lucky because your were flying before you may have picked up the last throttle position. Most times, that does not happen.

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

Gencode, I was not responding to you,but to DesJardins. I know what your transmitter is, what model of receiver are you using?

Wont return home and land - GPS or Fail Safe mode

What receiver are you using? If it is not an AR 7XXX and above with a data port it doesn't support preset failsafe.
