You are looking at the compass. Motopreserve is correct on the can bus on the leg. That is where the Data Link air unit connects. You will need a PC to run the GS program, however if you have a supported device; iPad mini, iPhone 5 etc. You can run the GS App and don't need the program.

My F330 has the puck on one of the arms. It is not velcro'd but stuck on with double stick tape. Works fine. I have also done the same on my F450. You need to make sure that you minimize your interference.
