    8s Battery supplier?

Be warned about MaxAmps. When they quote 100c they are talking peak C not constant C. I bought some 10Ah batteries from them last year and was puzzled as to why my MR hit low voltage warnings after less than a minute. I talked direct to Maxamps and they stated that the C rating was peak and that...

Welcome to the ARPAS section of Multirotor Forums

Can I also recommend a good coffee stop at Scotch Corner if you are heading south- not the services themselves but my digs which is 1/2 mile on from Scotch Corner. Better coffee here and a pub just 100m walk from the house! Welcome to ARPAS by the way!

    8s Battery supplier?

Have you already bought the motors? If not get the 435s and use 6s. This will give you gobs of power. Otherwise you may have to make your 8s packs by using 2x4s in Aries as mentioned before. 8s packs do exist but the largest I have seen are about 5-6AH so either way you will be having multiple...

    Music for a showreel

Google royalty free music and you should come up with plenty of sights. You will still pay a fee but it will be small and you can then do as you please with the music.

Congested Area Operational Safety Case (CAOSC)

Hi Pete, this was our first webinar and the idea was to have it recorded but for technical reasons this didn't happen sadly. For the future we will have them recorded and added to a library that all members can log into and watch in the future. We are going to hold another webinar on the CAOSC...

    Lipo charging on the go

My geni is the Honda eu20i also but sadly it will only do 1600w constant (as per its specs with 2kw being a peak output). Flipping good geni otherwise

    Mechanical versus Solder connections

Given the life of most multirotors at this stage and the general need that most people feel to upgrade once in a while I think that what is best is almost a mute point. By the time a good solder joint is likely to fail or a crimp connection is becoming dodgy your average MR owner would have...

    Lipo charging on the go

I can charge 4x9AH batteries at once at 1C along with a bunch of 3s 2200s (for monitors etc). Its a good Geni but I wish it had more power- it will only do a constant 1600W but then can hook 2 of them together to get 3200W making it a scalable geni which is great.

New Release: Align APS-M Multicopter Control Unit

I wonder if this will be similar in performance to Align's flybarless controllers- hopefully not!

    5.8GHZ Ofcom License

Getting a license is very difficult. I found it possible to get one but you needed to get a new one for every location and date that wished to operate thus making it totally impractical. So either stick to 25 or ask for forgiveness I guess. I have tried to engage with Ofcom, although admittedly...

A Drone Orchestra Takes Flight at The Barbican

They used netting for the performance so that the audience were protected. As for the external shots, they are all pretty old I think.

Mistletoe drone launched at TGIF - UK

That's a very good question. I know some of the insurance companies don't think the CAA don't regulate hence why John Heath doesn't insure indoor flying. However this most probably hasn't been tested in the courts so who knows which way it could go. Watch this space I guess.

GH4 4k shots from the past couple months.

Nice work but dare I say it, not a great idea flying over a crown like that.
