iOSD and 25mW video Tx help

The Immersion 25mw I bought can take up to 6s direct input as can be seen in the photo. I think most shops in UK sell these. Ask someone at the shop to double check though as I note a couple of shops are stating that it can only go to 16v.

Unstable quadcopter with Naza M V2

I would go higher. Start at 160 and go up 10 each time. I think you will find it sorts itself out. If you start to see quick oscillations then you have gone too far and need to back off by about 20.

Group Build 2015, FPV Racing Quad

I vote for sticking to a 250 class. V popular in FPV racing circles, performance seems to be best at this size but probably most importantly, cheap so that virtually anyone can get going.

Unstable quadcopter with Naza M V2

I would say that it wasn't flying right from the moment you took off and that it looks like a gain issue. What gains have you tried and what are they on now?

Police try to land journo's airframe at Gatwick

And this is a good example of why I always forewarn the local police of any job I do so they know that what we are doing is legit. As others say though, I am sure there is a bit more to this story than what has been printed.

    GH4 Rig Recommendations

Sleepy, I know you have had a good experience with the Zero kit but sadly that wasn't my experience. My Gemini flipped at 40ft. I am not yet convinced that Zero has the Gemini licked yet and I felt that the High 1 airframe was very heavy for what it is plus I am not a fan of quads much larger...

    WKM Changing IMU direction

It will only be this if the IMU is dead central horizontally otherwise you will have to deal with your X, Y and Z directions too as you will have effectively swapped sides by switching direction.

    WKM Changing IMU direction

The easiest way of achieving this is to set up the aircraft for one direction and then save the settings, then do it again for the other direction and then you simply load the file for the direction you wish to fly in. Of course you will have to physically turn the GPS puck by 180 degrees each...

    self return system& stabiliser

David, do a search for one of Bartman's group builds. There you will find a lot of the answers to the questions that you are asking and it will offer a good starting point for you.

using the DJI Phantom 2 battery on a custom quadcopter

I wouldn't do that as this is a proprietary battery. Just design the aircraft from the start to take a cetain payload and then bias the payload to carrying batteries- then you will optimize lift. However before you even go there try this in order: Decide on what imagery you wish to take Decide...

Not enough power can be produced by solar panels that are light enough to fly.

    2 batteries on a quadcopter

You can put as many batteries on a machine as you like if linking the packs in parallel. The point being that very quickly the aircraft will become too heavy to fly. Doubling your battery doesn't come close to doubling your flight time (assuming you are using sensible batteries to begin with)...

Hi from Deal, Kent, United Kingdom

Hi Chris, I'm not interested in buying this but here are a couple of points- can you list the rest of the aircraft's components such as motors, ESCs, video downlink? This will help sell it. Also, if I am being honest you are asking a very high price given that you can buy a brand new S1000 with...

    UK transmitter law

No it is not possible to get a license- well, one that is practical anyway. You can get a one but it is time, date and location specific so you would need to apply and pay for one each time you wanted to go flying. To stay legal you need to use 25mW or under.

Best configuration/frame and autopilot for redundancy?

DJI Wookong and A2 are well proven to operate well with a motor out both in hex and in octo form. A hex if slightly underpowered when loosing a motor will still fly but is likely to start spinning due to torque imbalance. To deal with this, flick into home lock mode and fly home. The problem is...

    help building/mounting board

Transmitter is always a tricky one. Any of the top brands such as Futaba, Spektrum, Graupner, Frsky etc all do great transmitters. Choose one with at least 10 channels ideally 14 or more. You wont necessarily need them now but it wont be long before you do. A good transmitter will normally long...

    help building/mounting board

David, if you haven't soldered before then go to Maplins and buy a component board and some cheap components to gain some experience. Soldering is easy but it does take a bit of practice to get it right. If you are going to get into this hobby properly there are 3 bits of kit worth investing in...

CAA are still working on the new regs so nothing will have been published as yet. I don't think it will be long so hang on in there.
