Ed, I disagree with you on this with my s800 and no stick movement in GPS mode it had Zero yaw until i added input. The compass in the A2 is there to detect yaw and compensate accordingly, I know that they will wander a little but there should still be no yaw.

I am surprised that there is yaw in GPS mode, I would expect some if in Atti with a little wind but not GPS

Why not try simulate the weight before you buy the gimbal? I had the old 650 with a similar setup and it would lift it ok. Check your hover mid point before buying, if much over 50% it will fly but you are running dangerously if you get hit by a gust or wind or bank too hard
