I testing today the unallowed 57.15 testversion for big octo, all 3x360 servos. Cinestar gimbal
GOOD-GOOD-GOOD.
Thank you George.
I wait the final version.
Good job!!!! Working the more 90
degree tilt. :)

putative bugs:
roll neutral position different the stabilized and non stabilized mode.
Artificial horizon direction changed, if the picloc connector is back direction.
Sometimes wrong ACC/gyro booting (wrong ACC calibrated value)
Sometimes no reaction one or more axis RC command.

question:
how to solve (picloc-software) the sloppy servos? Possibly softvare-compensated with direction changed.

suggestion:
please no direct switch servo data to switch the manual to stabilized mode. this gimbal it may too large mechanical energy.

Hello, if I can I ask for one thing who should help most of people to set good the picloc, it's a possibility to assign rc imputs to adjust the P I D values while flying to obtain the best result... I don't know if it make modify the code a lot but it will be really helpfull.
Still no release date for the 57 ?
thanks

YES wind or no wind, the important thing are the delay and speed of the servos, thats the Problem...
as long we stay on servos you will not get a DJI Zenmuse Z15 thats for sure...
you have to fix that your copter is perfect from Tuning side, and your anti vibration to the Cameramount is VERY GOOD,
picloc helps you to hold position on Nic and Roll and PAN level , at the moment the PAN stabilization is the best i know, no flight without pan stab ;-)
but if you have this small vibration and the copter will dance in the Wind you can`t eliminate this with a Servo Solution...
just to know ;-)

Hi Boys and Girls..... I'm at the deep end of coding again to bring you a hot new firmware.
Some of you have given me some very good tips from a usability point of view, ( of which I'm very thankful ).
Once again, emails are flooding, and I apologize for taking too long to reply.
It's just, that right now, coding the new firmware is taking priority over almost everything, including emails asking for price etc etc....
I will get back to them sometime.

Stay tuned.

Hi Fred,

PID tuning while flying has been a feature I always wanted to have, and that's why I made Picloc speak to Jetibox. It has been a tough decision, because the jetibox protocol is only available to 8bit micro controllers... while Picloc is 32Bit. But I managed to do it even if the road was VERY rough.
Jetiboxes are able to speak to Picloc through their JetiDuplex Radio link, for some people.... but for others no. ( And this seemed to depend on the position of the moon and its phase, the tide, the world temperature change, and the mood of the nearest wildlife animal.
To cut it short, i have made a 16 selection adjustment in new firmware and new Picloctoolz, which adjust the imedance mismatch that was preventing it to work 100% previously.
So.. with Jetibox, almost all parameters can be adjusted on the fly ( including PIDs), and/or with a Jetibox stuck physically to your mount or through Duplex link.

Step 2: in this upcoming firmware, I have added the XBee link possibility, so that PiclocToolz works wirelessly. It is not working 100% yet.. only 90ish... and that's also one of the reasons why there's delay in the release of this firmware beta to you and BetaTesters.

Thankyou for your patience!!

Ok Nice to Know that is possible, sad about jeti cause I don't use it.
So I already have some xbee but max speed is 9600 will it be enough or I will need à speeder one ? Have you some models "approved" with picloc ? Cause I want to buy the virtual link to be ready for the firmware release. Thanks

Just Nice. So I'm ready with my xbee's
waiting for new realease..
Please also prepare à workflow to how to set up, step by step cause theres à lot of new possibility and new parameters.. Thanks again can't wait to set up in flying..

I too look forward to X-bee feature. Already have one 2.4GHz type that will be used for this.

Just be careful where you install the onboard unit. From my presence in the Arducopter community I know it can cause phenomenas due to EMI.

Well...

... I'm really looking forward to the new firmware. Since I changed the standard potentiometers of my AV200-360 for 3-turn versions, I can't get the Picloc to work.
It's connecting and disconnecting randomly from the PC, but that maybe a Windows driver problem.

When I tilt the copter, it's randomly driving back to the home position. No, the Go-Home-Switch is not activated, see here: http://youtu.be/OZL_rPO8sLw
Software is the last official build from March.
In 9 of 10 times I connect the picloc to the battery, it behaves like that. Yesterday night, it worked all of a sudden for a short time. I tried to tweak everything the last two nights, but I can't find the problem.

Does anybody have a setting for the AV200 360 he would like to share?

edit:
And here ist the weird behaviour of PiclocTools, once it works, then again it does not: http://youtu.be/cflR5BfbS88
I already did a clean install of Win 7 64bit, and that's the result.
