a lot of what you're talking about will be covered in the 2016 group build that will be kicking off soon now that it is ......2016.

i'm going to try to touch on all of the basics for anyone that is just getting started.....like you.....with their first build.

all in video and in color! lol

I would bundle those wires up and put a zip tie on them. That keeps them out of the way and looking kinda neat.

Looks like you are getting that thing put together just fine Hoki. YouTube is your friend. I've found tons of videos to cover just about everything I'm using in my build.

A note on your comment about breathing smoke when soldering...don't do that! ;) Use a fan to keep your work area ventilated. There are lots of warnings about how unhealthy the fumes from soldering are.

So do you think I really need to remove the ground and power from the other connectors for the ESC

You can't run 2 batteries at the same time and plugging them into 2 different plugs. You will burn something up on your quad. You have to use a parallel connection to use 2 batteries. The plug that you have soldered onto your PDB is ok just use the parallel connection and connect 2 batteries if your system will handle that much power.

You know the three wires that plug into the apm for each ESC the signal and the ground and the power people say only one power needs to be connected and to remove the rest of the pins so only the signal is on the rest of them I was looking on the APM website and it even suggested doing that even if the ESC use are linear
