Building first drone and new to this

oh for f*^# sake my htpc blew up and I ordered a new motherboard and processor and of course I had to get new ram since my current pc is like 5 years old now. uhhhh, that's 300 dollars I could have spent on a fpv setup! now I donno when I wanna spend more money for fpv.

I was wondering how long the LED strips were and then looked at your frame selection. Looks like you'll have plenty of light on that thing. Good price on pre-wired LED strips.

WELL SINCE I ORDERED ALL MY PARTS TO BUILD THE S500 FROM CHINA I'M STILL GETTING PACKAGES OF BITS AND STUFF SO IT MIGHT BE A COUPLE MORE WEEKS TIL I GET EVERYTHING BUT I'LL GET THE SMALL 180 SIZE KIT IN A FEW DAYS SO I'LL BUILD THAT ONE FIRST BUT I MIGHT SOLDER THE ESC'S TO THE PDB ON THE S500 SINCE I HAVE THAT ALREADY.

I'm not sure how those leds work. so I just plug it into the port on the receiver?

I would like someone knowledgeable to help me if I have questions while I'm putting stuff together. text me at 7578283990 if you can help me with setting stuff up with that small 180 size kit I'm getting cause I'm not sure where to plug stuff in to that FC it's coming with and I would l like to do that PPM or sbus thing on it if it can.

Don't use lead free solder, it's absolute garbage. Get some Kester 63/37, and a good solder station.

Just make sure it's rosin core solder, 63/37 or standard 60/40 for electronics. You don't want acid flux core solder used for plumbing.

and why are there no shells for the diy frames? like how the ones you buy in a store are all nice and smooth in a housing but the diys have to have all there insides exposed? I wanna make see about making a upper and lower shell out of syrofoam maybe just like crave it to shape or something, maybe paint it I donno. but I really feel the need to cover it. I don't feel right just being all naked plus it doesn't look at good.
