Nic,

Is it this one?? Hackjob construction but the price... wow Servo Gimbals must be slashing their wrists right now.
http://armcopters.com/brushless-ready-gimbal-for-gopro-3/

And is the HDworld guy selling parts or this gimbal??

Yep, just paid for it.
Next week delivery. I'll run a comparison video difference between the two a week after that if I have the Alexmos based gimbal then.
Should be interesting if I can dial both in nicely with twin hero3 Blacks on the one craft.

The YUN-1 I had on order just arrived, plan is to mount it under my MK hexa V1 if it will fit, looks like it will be close with the flexlander legs, may have to change those to something a bit longer. Quite obvious it's not an original Alexmos controller but a clone of it, I've read that the Alexmos GUI works with it though, have to wait aand see if that's true.

So now I have the GotheliRC brushless Nex 5n size gimbal on my Cinestar and it works as well as a Zenmuse stabilizing the video recording. Now I have a GoPro size that will soon be carrying my Hero 3 Black. Looks like it's going to be a good year for APV :)

Nic, dont quote me but pretty sure the BEVRC Mastor is not an Alex. Believe its their own (copied from Alex to be sure) but might also be a Martinez.

Was also looking at the Ecopter simply because theyre supposed to be working on a TBS Discovery mount.

And of course the knockoff

Hi,

I won't post any commercial / pricing informations here, but just let you know that the TBS mount / mod is done, no drill and no cut ( just that the FPV camera has to be relocated somewhere else lol ).

Proto mount works like a charm and we are producing them next week, they will be compatible with most of the gimbals in fact, shall they be from us, or not.. All you need is the roll motor with 2x m3 threads at 16mm or 2x m3 at 19m or both, to fit the standoffs and the assmebly on the mount, could not be simpler :)

I will update the distributor name for the USA before the end of the week, right now we are struggling with requests and there will be some delay , we don't want to rush in everything to be on time with competitors, we just want to deliver working and reliable things :).

We are partners with Flyduino / Viacopter all together for controllers and motors ;)

Oh, i forget... videos with screaming motors and undersized props ( i receive the 10' props tomorrow)

https://vimeo.com/63030851

https://vimeo.com/63039089

and a little extra of our actual development, to open the joy of multirotor hobby to all and even partially disabled persons :

The Gimbal in the videos is the DIY gimbal, as we are milling the Luxury gimbals parts actually and until the 14th of april ( we need holidays definitly) !

Best regards,

Fabien

PS: for any information, i thank you very much for dropping me an email or contact me on my website, and i'l do my best to answer in a relative short time lol !

My "Martinez" was sent from HK and (according to the EMS tracking) is about to arrive :)

I suspect I just might have to build my brushless mount tonight :D
I have the 4006-120 motors coming with it which (they claim) are good for 400-800g cameras. I'll design + build once I have the motors in my hand.
The advantage of being a diy'r... :highly_amused:

First test flight of the YUN-1 Gopro gimbal on my MK Hexa. Looks pretty darn solid and near perfectly dialed in right off the bench, not a whole to do other than clean up some details and go fly it...

Just got the BevRC one also, so theres 3, an alexmos, martinez and whatever BevRC is running. I figure some may be junk, so I'll test a few of them. Only need Hero3 black capability. I really like the Yun-1 Ken, i may sell one or 2 of the ones I have if not satisfied as then I can run the Yun-1 with the case (I'm building a rig that is for over-water use and everything needs to be either waterproof or disposable.

Wow, that was quick Ken. Seems as if Gotheli and Yun1 fly pretty much the same. Betting the Mastor and ECopter will likely have similar performance. If so then it may come simply down to size (GP3 only or GP3 up to Nex), Workmanship, Mounting Brackets & Balancing Adjustability and of course price.

So I read the landscape basically like this.

GP3 Only
Yun1 (Alex Clone) http://www.fpvmodel.com/SBGC.html
Mastor (Alex based but their own Firmware) http://www.bevrc.com/mastorg-brushless-gimbals-for-gopro_p554.html
Armbcg- Cyllka (Original Alex) http://www.armbgc.com/cylllka-design-gimbal/

GP3 Only + TBS Discovery Mount
ECopter Luxury (Not Released) http://quadcopters.co.uk/brushless-gimball-gopro-luxury-version-145-c.asp

Gp3 upto Nex
Gothelirc - http://gothelirc.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=201&cat=Brushless+Gimbal

iFlight gimbal motors can be found in the USA here: www.multicopternw.com/motors.html

Stasid, specifically what kind of problems are you having? I was able to wire up my Martinez board, power it up, and get some motors moving. I'm having trouble connecting to the GCS, but i think it'll jest take a little time to figure it out...

thank you for the respons Mike,
I am in the some point with you.I have some promblems with the software, I download and run "bl-tool_046B".Do I have to download something else?
Another issue is the high tempature of the board when its working (I am using a 4110-190kv motor).

He originally released it as a servo based gimbal then saw the future. I had his GO gimbal and wasn't really impressed.

I had his GO gimbal and got hosed when it was time to get any level of support from him. He sent me a servo with a bad pot on the pitch axis. Rather than try to help me, he dodged my emails and wouldn't answer anything unless I called him out about it on his RC Groups thread. He finally gave me what I needed, but only after months of pestering him for it. By that point I had already bought another gimbal and lost interest.

I'm not too sure about the software - I hope to investigate that over the next week. As for the board, my friend (who's an electrical engineer) noticed that there wasn't enough solder underneath one of the motor drivers thermal sinks, so he used an SMD heat gun to flow some additional solder in there. I'm not sure if this could be contributing to your problem. I haven't put my motors under load in my tests so I don't know if this is a common or isolated case.

As seen on BEVRC Facebook page - Guy holding Brushless tossing a GH2 around...

"Mastor will release the brushless gimbals for GH2/GH3/5N in late May, and will have a half-price pre-order for only 500USD."

Nic do you have this gimbal yet? SOrry if I missed a thread somewhere about your results with it - but im looking forward to your thoughts. I have been eyeballing this one for a smaller rig.

Nope. Final parts getting milled this week, then assembly starts. It's slow going. I have 3 gimbals coming, e-copter, mastor-g, and one from a Chinese manufacturer to test, running German V3

I'm about expired with excitement.
