kloner, am I understanding correctly that with my Futaba 8FG I did the right thing in going with two 5.8 VTx? That had I gone with a 2.4 and a 5.8, it could lead to a crash of my MR?

I love my Futaba 8FGs. They have 14 channels, lots of controls, and are very sturdy.

I echo the sentiment as well. I have the 1038s on both my f450 and f550, and they have faired very well and seem nearly indestructible.

Only tip I can give you is to not be in GPS mode when taking off from a moving ship/vehicle. Your MR will just flip itself to try and arrest the movement, however small it may be.
