First little test flight with the h3-2d Zenmuse

I almost always am shooting in 2.7k or 4k modes so that I have full detail video that I can then edit down to 1080p. When shooting in 2.7k or 4k you only have Wide FOV available, but the goal is to always edit down to 1080p so as to make it look closer to Medium or Narrow and get rid of the...

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

Here's a video I quickly put together. The company asked me if I could put together weekly aerial shots showing the progress of the construction. This is week #1 where all they are doing (for a while at least) is leveling the ground and building up the dirt level. It is somewhat long and...

    First flight video: Frankfurt

I like your editing style. Thanks for adding the tree intercept video... made me feel like I'm normal. =D So LuftVo doesn't have an above-ground height limitation? You're lucky. With the group that is working on the new FAA rules, I've proposed that the height limitation (currently 400ft in...

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

amicu1, I really liked your post-production touches you put on your video. Can you tell me what what video editing software you used, and the film-like transitions where you got them? The same goes for the "sticky" overlay for the text... I like it. And lastly, what song from videoblocks did...

    Show us what you shot.

Nice shot. Where is that? In fact, can I suggest that everyone, when posting a shot, make it a customer to always state where it was taken and with what equipment? That would help all of our collective curious and wanting to learn minds. =D

    What are flight modes?

You should have three modes on a three position switch. Default is for "GPS", "Attitude" (no "GPS" in front of it), and "Manual", with Failsafe being the gaps in between them. To get the transmitter to output a value in one of those middle regions you have to play some mixing tricks on the...

Long Delivery of Wookong then just as long for new Serial for waypoints

This must be a Century Heli thing. When I ordered my package back a month or so ago, I got my 50 wpt code in 48 hours from my vendor (IntelligentUAS). They too had to send my hardware ID to DJI, but, like I said, it was done in two days.

How do I set up my Naza light and DJI 450 to work with my Futaba 7C 2.4ghz

Since you have 7 channels, you shouldn't have to leave anything out. You'll use the four main controls (the two sticks) to control A/E/T/R, then find a 3-way switch for U, and a 2 or 3 way switch for IOC modes. When people talk about leaving out a function, it just means they don't connect...

    What are flight modes?

Nothing. Two terms for the same thing. :( Glad we could help you. Enjoy the flying.

That's what investing in good gimbals gets you, more so the newer brushless gimbal. These gimbals totally isolate the camera from the wild motions a MR may have to make to counter wind, or to maneuver where needed.

Yeah! I saw that and commented before how I've been wanting to there, and just haven't made it to the southern part of Norway yet. Gorgeous and amazing!

    What are flight modes?

Sounds like we're getting there, and that gpforet is the man when it comes to your transmitter. He'll walk you through how to set the adjustments, but you do want to ensure you get the segments turning to blue, and the text below matching it.

    What are flight modes?

You're on the right track. If moving your three-position switch moves the slider around, all you need now is to adjust the endpoints, or the Travel Adjust as it's called on your transmitter. Moving the switch to the center position is hopefully setting the middle selection ("Attitude") to...

S800 Major Crash - The spin of death

I guess I have never tried to contact DJI directly. For me it would be like trying to get ahold of Toyota in Japan to answer something about my car. I personally always go to my dealer. If somebody is selling the stuff, they should know the stuff, including policy on replacements or stuff...

S800 minor crash (hard landing really) on first test flight with Zenmuse

Glad to hear that. Actually, I just noticed a typo in my post. I'm typically on the ground by 21.6, not 20.6. lol

How do I set up my Naza light and DJI 450 to work with my Futaba 7C 2.4ghz

The Naza can use 7 channels. You need at least five for the four primary controls, and the U input for the GPS/ATT mode. You can use a 6th for turning on IOC modes. The 7th is gimbal control or gains control if you want.

How do I set up my Naza light and DJI 450 to work with my Futaba 7C 2.4ghz

I set the endpoints such that the slider ends up in the middle of the blue area for the mode. If it reaches the ends, then you will notice the mode won't turn blue anymore. You need each switch position to turn one of the three modes blue.

How do I set up my Naza light and DJI 450 to work with my Futaba 7C 2.4ghz

Try first just flipping the 3 position switch, and you should see the Flight Mode switch between full left, centered, and full right. Then you know at least that you have the correct switch tied to your Manual/Attitude/GPS control. But you will notice that full left means that the left-most...

Wish I never bought this thing!!!!

Deanot, I was the one that suggested he use the heli because he is confortable with it. I mentioned ensuring that he remove all mixes if there are any. I don't know the 7C, but on my 8FG I use heli for everything, and out of the box there wasn't any mixing of the channels. Maybe you know the...
