GPS reception will be probably be fine. It's only in the arctic circle itself where problems may exist. It would be the compass that would be affected rather than the GPS in any case. Lipos will fly for less time in cold temperatures so just knock 30%ish off your usual flight times to be safe...

It's common with a quad in forward flight. Fly slowly forwards or look down a bit. Flying backwards and sideways should be fine. It will be worse in windy conditions.
