I've had good success with the turbines. I'm using identical antennas on TX & RX. Solid video out to 2k' which is as much as I'll ever need. I've used the clover/SPW combo's but I'm having better results with these turbines for my FPV. It might be because I have two video links on these birds...

More lobes on the receiver side give better multi path rejection. So typically a cloverleaf is on the TX. You could also use identical antennas on both TX and RX.

I got them early on and dealt directly with Irek in Poland. Not sure if they have a dealer for US sales now. But if not they are good guys and you can order with confidence.

Buz, I have two of these boards. I think they are excellent. Very powerful and nearly limitless configuration options.

Stock QC3328 motors. 5S is good but 6S is really the right way to go long term IMO.

I did a fair amount of testing with a CS8 reaching AUW of 17.6lbs on 4S. Using two TP 6600mAh 45C packs gave flight times of 7:30 on average until 14V/10,500mAh consumed. The machine with batts installed ready to fly was 10.1lbs and the load was 7.5lbs in the form of a chunk of stainless steel...

Gary, I don't think I saw those tests from Jeff and Holger. Do you happen to have any links? I let the thing get to 3' before I bailed- those were nerves of steel! :D If nothing else Holger needs to slow the descent rate at a slightly higher altitude.

What are the conditioners? Some kind of inline module between the servo cable to the HFG?
