Jason, What version of the Zen for GH3 are you running? Also I would upgrade to v2.3 for the A2. Is there anything unusual in the Zen Assistant?

I would try v2.2. There was a minor tweak 10 days ago. I have gotten reports that the GPS hold is enhanced and there are no loss of control issues.

You have the Rx set up as Traditional. When it asks you to calibrate the Tx it is referring to doing so in Assistant not in the Tx. DJI recommends that you use ACRO.

If you turn off the Tx you will note in the lower left hand corner of Assistant you will see that it has entered into failsafe. With the props off, you can do the same and the led will flash failsafe. It works but not like the other controllers. If you feel more comfortable please do set up...

You do not need to do anything. Just plug them in.

DJI escs are opto and don't have a bec. You do not have to calibrate them. Your AR8000 is drawing power from the controller not the esc.

Try and toggle between AV1 and AV2. I think that may help you. Is the HDMI led lit? If so it is on. You will need to connect a two position switch to the channel lead to be able to change the inputs.

As far as I know this was only for the Phantom series. Not the Naza, WKM or A2 controllers. I believe it was firmware 2.0 that put it in the geofencing around airports.
