I just tested 4.8 and it seemed to work well for me. Altitude hold seemed to work - will need to do more testing. I don't have the GPS board so couldn't test those functions.

Nicely done - the concept is great - I have Rep2 printer. However, I note a lot of jitter in your test movements. Servos seems to introduce a lot of this, if you could use gears or belts it might take some of that out.

Yes, those Chinooks are brutal - I am just south of you - down here in Lethbridge and struggle with the the weather, the wind is always stronger here.

Another option is to take the props off and bench test the throttle and see if you can reproduce the problem on the ground.

I use a DX 10t and love it. The only issue is that it doesn't have S-bus but that is not an issue unless you have an octo and plan on using the camera gimbal controls from the DJI flight controller.

Those ice escs need updated frimware - have you tried that? There is version of the firmware that works with multicopter and if you don't have it that might cause the problem. Ah, I was reading through the posts again and it looks like you did that already, so ignore this comment.

Servos are notoriously jerky but an expensive servo should be better than what you describe. I just had a Hitec start demonstrating the same behaviour you describe and replaced it with a spare and it totally smoothed things out. I think the sooner we can move away from servos for gimbal...

I was checking things out and the flight seemed quite erratic today and noticed that the dip switch on the board was set to 2 rather than 1 during flight. Would that cause this problem - I was under the impression it didn't matter how the dip switch was set for flight.
