    Can this really be true?

There is a lot of great experience shared on this thread. One of the bottom lines is that everyone's experience is a bit different. However, it helps if the outcomes are clear. You probably want to define the clientele you will be shooting for before doing anything else and identifying the...

Hoverfly 4.8 first Flight.. What you think

Looks pretty good to me. It seems to be dialled in quite well (assuming that was raw footage). I noted a bit of roll jerkiness issue at one point but it didn't persist (I get that once in awhile as well). I couldn't see much difference between 70 and 80 gain.

    Lippo Battery Advice

Don't use this style of connector if you are doing parallel or series connections you run the risk of plugging the batteries together rather than plugging those into the power harness - this is extremely dangerous - my hands have recovered but I was fortunate. If you are concerned go to the XT90.

Hoverfly Sometimes Sport Board Won't Arm

the end points are controlled from your radio - the results of the adjustments to your radio are evident in the setup client

Hoverfly Sometimes Sport Board Won't Arm

Make sure your throttle radio end points are at the very top and bottom of the range in the setup client. I had a similar problem with HFP - and that seemed to fix the problem.

Hoverfly A flight nightmare with a happy ending ...

You need to listen to the ship carefully there are beeps happening just before and as it is spinning. Is that the FC board or something else? It sounds like the FC board to me. I wonder if you got out of range and lost the radio signal - you are up there quite heigh. How have you setup failsafe?

    Battery full charge vs storage

Ditto for what olof said. I bought 6 nonotechs (6000) a year or so ago. I was careful not to abuse those by going deep into those in flight (I use multiple forms of Voltage alarms). However, it is windy in my part of the country - we get hurricane strength winds on a regular basis and such...

    Free Propeller From HQProp

If all the props are really balanced then it is no APC clone (well the shape may be cloned but APCs need quite a bit of balancing)

Hoverfly PRO/GPS Firmware Update v4.8 Beta

Surely you can fly without a GPS lock - I don't have the GPS board but there will always be reasons why a person wouldn't get a GPS lock, so to make that a requirement to arm the HFP, doesn't make sense.

    Naza with AD-8 oscillation.

It is not designed for an octo and probably won't work well in that configuration. I recall exploring this concept back in the day with my Guai 344 FC and people reported that they could get it to fly ...but not good, so I would suspect the same would be true of the Naza.

Hoverfly One problem solved another persists

Adjusting the endpoints for the throttle seemed to have fixed the problem. ...much smoother flight as well.

Hoverfly Testing the HoverflyPro with no Rudder control interesting Ehh...

I had to use the same solution steps but my symptom was totally different; the ESCs would intermittently not initialize when the battery was plugged in. It is interesting how the same problem had a different sympton on my setup.

DJI Wookong M - Voltage Monitor - Flight Time Heavy Lifter

I use specktrum equipment, so we use the spektrum telemetery system and that seems to work well (I have it displayed on an 10t RX and on a iTouch with audio alerts). We have it setup to monitor altitude, RX voltage, flight voltage, and ESC temperature. Thus far it seems to work well...

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

I noted that it looked like you took off from a tarp. I think this is a necessity - we have had too many shots messed by dew getting on the lens from a take off in the grass. In addition in a dusty environment all that grit will get in the moving parts - bad news.

Zero UAV Zero UAV available at Hobbyking?

It doesn't look to be the same thing as the more expensive version - not familiar enough with this to know the difference but you can see the difference in the photos.

Hoverfly One problem solved another persists

I checked those last night and the throttle settings were not quite at the top and bottom in the Setup client, so I adjusted those and will report back if that makes a difference.

Hoverfly PRO/GPS Firmware Update v4.8 Beta

Once you get close the big item there is the software stabilization - it can take otherwise unusable footage and makes it look good. However, you have to start with reasonably stable footage to begin with.
