If you switch your FC into manual (which is not really recommended) you can set it up to change the gain settings when in manual. Usually if switching to manual you want to dial down the gains so the craft isn't so reactive.

I haven't used a converter yet on my setup but I heard that it can be tricky because some of the converters out there don't work very well. pay close attention to user reviews and videos so you don't buy one that's sketchy.

Yes I did, I checked the motors, ESC's Capacitor packs and even the EC-5 connectors for my battery's. The ESC's were in the 80's, capacitors were all cool, <70F the motors were a mixed bag 150 to 90. Those were checked after I stopped the test, not while running.

Well I would pull it apart enough to see what contacted what when the battery was pushed in. Its possible that you will get lucky and the problem will be obvious and the fried item can be identified and replaced.

My flamewheel which is a quad can get up to 10 minutes on a 2200 mah battery. It has the DJI 2212 motors. Your motors could be the problem. I have found out that a lot of claims manufactures make are simply not true. So maybe your motors are cheap and not really 1000Kv?
