Hoverfly Today's excitement, Hoverfly PRO beta firmware first flights

So the current beta firmware that Bart tested can use the GS407 UBlox leah-5 that we started with, DT2523 Ublox leah-5, Mediatek (original small package), Mediatek (larger footprint with battery backup and larger ground plane). We use all of these at various times and don't see that much...

    Hoverfly Firmware Updates

I wanted to communicate this to all of you. We have recently made some major changes to our development team. The latest releases 4.6 r1, r2, and r3 although safe to fly are not working well for all platforms. We recommend that you downgrade for the time being to 4.3.860. Many of you already...

    Hoverfly Xocto or +octo???

I don't "like" X8 or Y6 because it is my belief that it is not as efficient. I really don't see any advantages to it. However, some people have chosen a coaxial geometry and believe that it is more stable under certain conditions like wind. So the bottom line is...we support X8 and Octos so...

Hope you are not in Charlottesville - Drone ban

I wholeheartedly agree. Here in the 7th Congressional district here in Florida John Mica has at least been receptive and we have met with him a hand full of times. They recently asked us to film the ribbon cutting ceremony on their regional office. Now I am not particularly proud of the video...

Hoverfly Red Epic flying on Hoverfly Erista

Yes Mike is flying. Here is a video we did today. We were just checking things out after the shoot last week. The red thing on the gimbal is my 12lb red epic test brick. Oh and if we get authorization to post some of the Red footage we will. They seemed happy with the results.

    Hoverfly HFP fail

I responded to your support ticket here at Hoverfly. It appears that you are not powering the HoverflyPRO/GPS stack with at least 7V. Additionally, you must connect the GPS antenna module (hard to tell from the video).

    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller?

When you say you "returned" to old software do you mean you flashed an older version that did not exhibit the problem? With the older software does it now twitch? If the answer is yes then it's not the software. Is anyone else confused?

    Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal Controller?

You said you went back to the firmware version where you didn't have the twitch correct? And this older version has a new twitch? Sounds like a problem with the gimbal hardware then doesn't it? Maybe I'm missing something.

    Hoverfly Lurkers - Slow Forum

Trust me we have our heads down working on improvements and new features. But we are here everyday. The HoverflyGIMBAL has been working very well. The HoverflyPRO fly's like a dream. The HoverflyGPS works well and is trustworthy to do the job. However, some of use have been focusing on...

Hoverfly Hoverfly Gimbal setup / config issues... driving me crazy!

Once you setup the RX and Servo settings you have to save in the Config tab not the Files tab. The files tab will allow you to save a config and later load it but this feature is not operable yet. To save settings use the "Save Settings" button on the config tab. I saw your ticket come it but...
