    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

If extending the retract's down-booms works it could have the added advantage of giving you more ground clearance for the larger gimbal.

    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

Do you have a photo of the retract's sitting at the sides the way they'd be if in in up position? The answer to your question is: removing 4" would change it :). And considering you have been so happy with the performance - that's why I suggesting modifying the retract's as opposed to the...

    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

The phobotic at this point is definitely not working consistently (if at all) with rotating landing gear. That would certainly be the easiest fix to eliminating the LG in the video, but it looks like it might take some time for the CP to handle it. I don't know for sure how the diameter of the...

So the key is getting the runners to fit between?

    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

Jim, How far down would the retract's need to be mounted so they clear the lower props? Could you rig up a mount (like the extension of the plate you mentioned) that would put them low enough to be safe? Would that put them in view of the video? Seems like the stability you get now would be...

    Made an Ominus Mistake Tonight

This winter I got to see one of these (FPV version) at an RC meet. It definitely looked like fun, and I couldn't believe all that was included at the price. Seems like you've got a nice little package of fun on your hands....and there's nothing wrong with that. Just awesome to take the...

Start a new RPAS buisness... what shoul i do?

As far as the legality of a specific multirotor - each country is going to handle that differently. So you would be best served to research where Portugal's legislation is headed, how the regulations are shaping up, and better yet become an active participant in the process. When it comes to...

    Who invented our hobby?

I wonder when the first book will come out that tracks the actual evolution of the open source hardware/software that led to what controls our MRs now. Seems to me that there were a bunch of people working on this technology simultaneously. It would be an interesting read for sure.

DJI Naza M Lite Setup Confusion / Problems

Double check the binding and that setting for the type of Rx connection. Otherwise, you could reinstall the firmware. You'd have to redo some calibrations etc. But if there are no other settings that are obviously wrong - might be the best bet.
