Hello,I'm a new member and live in Southwest Ohio between Dayton and Cincinnati.I have been into anything R/C since 1972.I have been a Railfan for 58yrs since i sat in my high chair and watched trains go past the house.I have a love for old trucks(50s),old tractors(1920s thru 1970s) big old dozers(1930-40s)anything big, old, rare that moves, and most anything else.I have a basic understanding of 1970 era electronics.I served in the Navy in the very early 1970s at the end of Nam.I live on the family farm that was homesteaded in 1791.I retired in 2007 from farming and from the local school district. My interest in copters comes from the desire to take video of trains and old buildings and other things from the sky.I just bought a Iris+ with case, gimbal and a sony action cam.I would like to have live view at some point in time.I married a wonderful women 40 yrs ago and have 4 children,8 grandchildren,3 very spoiled golden retriever dogs. What I'm not into is computers.I'm lucky to have grand kids who can figure out most things. My 10yr old grand son told me i was yelling on the computer the other day.Not sure what he meant.I look forward to learning a lot and hoping to offer some help along the way.I find MRF to be the best forum on the web.Thank you for reading and i wish all to have a great day.Rick

Welcome aboard Rick! Sounds like you have your hands full with Hobbies :).

As I'm sure you have found, this particular hobby can benefit greatly from the computer (at times it's downright necessary). But the fact that you have grandkids who may be able to help tells me you'll have yet another thing to bond over - once they get a load of the Iris+

Make sure you ask any question you might have - there's a specific APM/3DR section in the manufacturers area.

Have fun and fly safe!
