    ESC Power wire extension

At the time I was doing it for a Tarot 680Pro. The space on the center plates was super tight, so I opted for the ESCs under the motors (the mounts are set up for this). I got curious though, and continued my research. It seems the theories are all over the place. While I understand that it...

    ESC Power wire extension

These are the ones I grabbed. I ended up not installing on my rig, but I had done all the research like yourself. There really is no clear answer. But certainly it shouldn't hurt if you install them. http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?x=0&y=0&lang=en&site=us&keywords=1189-1863-ND&Ntt=

    ESC Power wire extension

If you search around, you may find some info that @econfly posted about this. His take, IIRC, was that it showed very little difference with his test equipment - but the long term effects could not be determined on the bench obviously. If you are going to add caps, I believe they should be as...

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

:). Chinese made....hot or miss. If you're under the 1600g with batteries, you should be good. Seems like center of gravity (CoG) is the most likely culprit. Remove the puck, it'll give you a more accurate reading on how it's laid out - and it's not that much of a pain to put back.

Align Multicopter Can't start motors using Taranis

Unless I'm missing something, this would be a real bad idea. If your calculations show your craft hovering at 55% throttle, that's correct (50% is ideal). Leave the tx throttle end points as-is. You want it to lift off when you get to mid-point of the throttle throw. In your case, it may be a...

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

So 3lbs??? That should still be in the safe zone for the motors. That's WITH batteries, correct? The center of gravity is more about seeing if the weight distribution is correct. So the single leg method might not tell you much. If you put a string under the frame and center it - hold it out...

    esc exasperation

That's definitely what you're going to want on there. And doing it yourself, you'll be confident they're all the same firmware. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

What kind of forum is this?

One of two things going on here. Either this is an incredibly lame forum, complete with moderators willing to create a front for the lame people that frequent it in hopes of preserving their credibility with you.....or, the idea is simply not that good. I have no issue with your idea. It's...

Sorry. That is what I meant. Thanks Sleepy. It's worth checking to rule out.

    esc exasperation

Flashed firmware, or changed programming? I've only used cards for programming - but maybe they've advanced that. The firmware was always added by attaching a FTDI style thingamajig - to use a technical term :)

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

It is definitely worth a shot. Also, Try to do some calculations for the motors you have, the props you're running - and what type of thrust that's producing. Then weigh the MR with everything on board (including batteries). If you're overweight - you'll be at a value that requires more than...

    esc exasperation

It sounds like maybe the firmware on there is not working correctly. Does it do the same thing for each esc???

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

Have you tried to determine how the center of gravity is with a string? You have some things off the front and back which may cause unease. You might try the batteries below as a test. See how it handles.

No doubt about it. There is PLENTY of room in this thing. I'm working out where to put the coffee maker, cups, a small table, chairs....

PRODUCT REVIEW: Think Tank Photo Airport Helipack

It really does - and safe to boot! As mentioned in the review, I live the idea of a pelican case (actually, I just love pelican cases...), but it would be overkill for a quick jaunt in the car or even on the bike. This case would even make sense for a plane trip, but you'd want to be sure the...

PRODUCT REVIEW: Think Tank Photo Airport Helipack

I can't see that being totally out of the question - just purely based on the number of different bags they have in their catalog. Shoot them an email, you never know.

    esc exasperation

Sounds correct. You wait for the beep, then push throttle down. Wait for more beeps then power cycle? What exactly is happening that makes you say it's not working correctly?

    esc exasperation

What is the method you are using? Are you connecting the ESCs directly to the throttle output channel of the Rx?

DJI 450 with Naza lite does weight make a difference in stability

Weight can definitely effect stability. But the thrust specs of the motors/props as well as weight of batteries (and AUW) will be the most useful info to help determine if you're suffering from overweight issues. Center of gravity is key here too - on each axis.
