    I found the DJI Shoulder Screws I was referring to here: http://www.goodluckbuy.com/dji-f330-f450-f550-screw-pack-set-m2-55-dji-flamewheel-spare-part-1.html http://www.goodluckbuy.com/dji-f330-f450-f550-screw-pack-set-m38-dji-flamewheel-spare-part-1.html They are M2.5 x 5 and M3 x 8 you need...

Being a boat designer and builder I often use marine grade heat shrink that has hot melt glue inside to melt and seal out moisture. But if not on hand I'll hit the solder joint with a bit of hot melt glue, then heat shrink tube over ensuring I re-melt the glue during the shrink procedure with a...

Another problem point with this kit is the motor-mount screws that are supplied with it. We found them to be soft, easily stripped, and the sockets are off-size being neither imperial or metric so the heads are easily stripped out as well. (Although you can get a hex wrench to fit, stripping is...

I posted this in the other thread but I think it bears repeating here as it is critical to remedy, and new people have joined the discussion here as well. The folding booms are threaded into the aluminum sockets and supposed to be factory glued so they don't twist... but this glue tends to...

No, no , no , no, no.. (sitting in corner rocking back and forth sucking thumb.) I think I came up with a similar system using masking tape to hold the screws in place while laying the plate on a pillow. A mental and dexterity exercise for sure.

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

Yes, I'm finding under normal usage the rolling shutter is a non issue. Mine has also displayed no overheating issue either. I have found some very interesting information regarding overheating that may explain why there are varying reports on this. It also includes a cure. I'm just on the run...

Good to know moonpie. It's always good to follow up the threads when fix a problem as it will help others in the future. Thank you.

I think I should be more careful though as others with expensive rigs may read the comment too and dismiss issues.

Listen to Old Man ;) Pat my comment "may not be an issue" was in the context of park flying a mini.. but yes probably a bad remark.

Sounds like it MAY be a sync issue with the ESC'S .. Are the ESC'S and firmware matched to the motors or at least recommended by the motor manufacture? All of the above considered it may not be an issue if the bird flies well and the motors don't overheat.

Where'd all the regulars go? Old Man?

Wow. I wonder if I'm the only one who gets scared when he sees this stuff. Lol The thought of "automated everything" scares the hell outta me! That Tesla car on autopilot decapitating it's driver by failing to notice a semi trailer across the road pops to mind... Military drones taking out...

    Weight to motor comparsion

On my Tarot 810 similar motors etc. I get 13-14 mins with two 5000 mah batts. So I'd bet with the 15" props and 5k batteries you'd get about the same. Of course this is with no gimbal on mine. When I add a Famous Hobby BG003 and a Canon 5D that drops to about 8-9 mins... I'm in the process of...

Can we consolidate the two threads (ask the mods), or copy paste the posts in this thread into the other and delete this one. If possible so the input so far isn't lost We should always bear in mind these type of threads are a resource to others, future builders, newbs etc. Sorry I'm a pain...

Don't you have a thread on this build already PJ? You should try to keep it all in one thread so it's easier to track progress and give input ;)

You may want to bump up your battery amperage a bit too on your next battery purchase. I'd suggest two 5000 or 6000 mah 6s

Yes I have almost the same setup. You should definitely go with 15" props. I personally use and like the Foxtech Supreme Lites. They have a good cost to performance balance.

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

I'm an Adobe guy all the way. Either Adobe Premiere or After Effects. But for just cutting and color no need to look further than Premiere. They have added some pretty good color tools recently. Note: the above video had no treatment of any kind. That's straight off the camera with the settings...

    Tarot T810 Build

Interesting indeed. It sounds like you need to have both radios going in order to operate the gimbal from the second radio I'd think. I've seen this referred to as a "buddy box" or trainer module. This sounds fine for many applications. In my case though I have my gimbal on a quick release...
