    travel to Chile

This would be a good topic for the pro forum. Perhaps the mods could move it over there :)

Got a used Tarot 810. Starting the rebuild process.

Love my T810. I've been flying one for 2-3 seasons now. It's been through a few different configurations as I've learned what worked and didn't. I'm going to be doing some videos featuring the machine itself, gimbal, radios etc. Over the next few weeks. In prep for that I've been taking a bunch...

Where'd all the regulars go? Old Man?

Thanks buds! I'll check it out. He'd said he was going to do an H1 review for us around here, then disappeared when it changed hands. Hope he comes back at some point. That other place is even more overrun by the gopro crowd than this one :/

    GH4 video and photos together

Same with my a6300 but we can always shoot in 4k and cut selected frames out ;)

Where'd all the regulars go? Old Man?

I tend to agree Chuck. Where are you finding professional discussions these days? Even though I'm in Canada I've been following the FAA thing. Glad to hear it's finally at the point where you guys will finally have a solid set of rules. Interesting to see what they hand down.

Can The CC3D Revolution be used on a H8 configuration octocopter?

Yes the FixHawk / Pixhawk is a very professional system that is well suited to high end pro aerial photography rigs. It's a system you can grow into. Interesting stabiliser rig for sure! Thanks for sharing

Anyone Have USB Issues With Their GoPro Hero 4?

Computer problems perhaps? Have you tried using it with different computers and different cables?

Giant Y6 coax switch back to normal hex?

I can't comment on whether it will fly with one motor down as that depends on weight / power ratio. But I find that the large flat disc of a hexa or octo are generally more stable.

Advice on powerful motor for Tarot 680 Pro

You need to start with the camera that you want to fly. Then establish which gimbal will handle it. Get the weights of those. Add the video transmitter and RX and gimbal battery, lens, filters etc... Then once you know that weight work backwards to your frame, batteries, and finally motors and...

Can The CC3D Revolution be used on a H8 configuration octocopter?

Not sure about the Revo but my favorite FC is the FixHawk by RcTimer. (Same thing as the Pixhawk but cheaper and possibly better manufacturering.)

    CC3D vs. 3DR Radio vs. RDF900+ Radio

Also the baud rate needs to be set differently for USB vs radios when connecting Mission Planner.. This one bites me every time lol

    Durability vs. Part Costs

We would much rather sell you the expensive parts. Signed, the manufacturers. ;)

    Sony A6300 Camera Discussion

Ya I find the "supported only one side" and flat plate gimbals can be flaky in general. Just not rigid enough. I'm going to be using mine of the BG001 Famous Hobby gimbal with the Phobotic Centerpiece that I have built for my Canon 5D.. but it is a bit large. If I was starting now with my...

Thanks for the clarification Photo J. If it were here in Vancouver we'd face stiff fines or worse. In order to fly within city limits we need permits, approved flight plans, cordoned off streets, security personnel, first aid stations... The list goes on.

Are you sure you've assigned the correct channels on your TX?

    powerline interference reader/meter?

Another option is to use a TX/RX system with RSSI (Reciever Signal Strength Indicator) such as the Taranis. RSSI will give you a readout on your TX as to how strong your signal is at the RX. I've seen mine decrease significantly when near high tension lines or industrial antennae.

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

Hi, there's a sticky thread right above this one for posting videos so we don't push all the discussion threads off the main page ;). Hopefully you or the mods could move this post onto that thread And btw flying over city streets is illegal and dangerous. You could face stiff fines even for...
