Just spotted a DJI S800 flying down snowboarding on BBC/sky choose sport channel, some great footage being used from the S800 as well as a cable cam. Does anyone know who's flying the S800?
Correct me if I am wrong but the GH2 will not record in 1080p if you plug in the HDMI, it will revert to 1080i no matter what you set the mode to record in.
If you set the GH2 to 720p it will revert to and record 1080i as soon as you plug in the HDMI, GH3 will record in any mode regardless of HDMI setting (even when HDMI isplugged in)
Instead of protecting each wire where it enters/exits the centre plate (18 wires) why not just add protection to the plate with a large rubber gromit, much quicker and easy to do.
If a quad looses a prop all you can do is expect the worst and hope for the best (and thats no hope). Hex depends on flight controller and setup but can be controlled to a degree, all be it a controlled hard landing.

I've spent quite some time setting up my gimbal but using RSGS has been a challenge, it stabilises really well holding the horizon every time and tilt but I still have some occasional jitters I would like to eliminate if possible. Looking at you rig I would move the GPS as you have planned...
Hi Richard, if your GPS antenna is under a prop I'd say it's too close to the motor (magnetic field) but without a picture of your set up its hard to say for sure. Just curious who John Cunningham is? I also use AV200 and would like better results from it.
That would be great, I for one would be interested in your gimbal but not before seeing a real world example of how it performs for the intended purpose.
Hi Prokopi, well I have to say that you response (or the fact that you have responded) has somewhat given myself some confidence in your company. There are bigger players out there (at the moment) who will remain nameless as we all know who they are that are always posting the latest and...
Its a good point but to many businesses like this are launching to quickly, if they have financial backing in the magnitude of ten fold the original startup costs then they should be holding off until all their departments and products are ready to meet customer needs and service. If they needed...
Cbuk I totally agree with you, my first impression of any company/supplier is how they respond to enquiries or complaints and not receiving a response is a very poor start and it now looks like I'm not alone. Email is the prefered form of contact for most people these days, just think how much...
I was looking at this page on their website: I'm sure you have made the right choice it's just that for me there are a number of manufacturers/distributors making all kinds of claims and when you dig deep and don't get too excited and carried away and examine the facts not all is what it seems...
according to their website the BeSteady One basic is actualy 1650 grams! Where did you get 1040 from, I was looking at the product specs additional information. Also see all axis are 360 but no mention of slip rings so I'm guessing your HDMI/other video monitoring are going to be a limiting...
Yes I did see it, great work. I know the pilot Jack from when I bought my first MR kit when he worked at Heliguy. Back to thread now! Anybody else have first hand knowledge about the Besteady One? Is there any aerial footage/examples using Besteady and MR online
I was looking at this kit just last week and sent them an email asking if they had a UK distributor, 6 days later and I'm still waiting for an answer, not good PR. do you have the link to UK dist? are you using the rig on a MR or just the hand held setup? Keep us updated with results when you...
