Dji Phantom - goPro Hero3 - fisheye lense correction / lense profile

Yeah, in narrow FOV results actually look surprisingly un'Gopro, shame it doesn't have 'N' setting for stills as well.

CAA Approval for non commercial stuff

Hi Chris, you dont need any permissions as its not Aerial Work, but I guess technically you should stick to the regs and make sure you have full landowner/reps permission to fly obey the separation minima and all involved are under your 'control' just in case something went wrong, buts its...

Dji Phantom - goPro Hero3 - fisheye lense correction / lense profile

There is fisheye correction in cineform studio, I have never used it, I find the fisheye not to be an issue when shiooting in narrow FOV.

    Approving my first build..? :-)

Peter, Cant see any issues with your motor ESC choice. I am actually looking into building up the same, looking at Maytech OPTO 30A ESC (simonk flashed), TIGER 2814/10 770kV Motors on 4S, Graupner 10" props possibly 11" bottom props. For Tx/Rx I stick with Hitec, reasonable cost, easy to program...

Need a small high quality point and shoot with GPS tagging

S100 is discontinued but still widely available Bart. I've been looking to upgrade my S95 and the S100 can be purchased pretty cheaply, not much difference between it and the S110 just that the 110 has WIFI touch screen etc but sacrificed the on board GPS tagging. S series are cracking wee...

Am I dumb for wanting a Cinestar 6?

I would love a CS6, but went for the lower cost option of a Vucan hex, I'm happy with it, but still would take the CS if cost were no issue. Agree with Denny on the Gopro/small rig thing, but even the gp3 is a poor stills camera, which is why I have a larger rig capable of carrying a variety of...

No Ian, I mean I am building a backup vehicle which is identical to my existing quad and in order to use it commercially I need to do flight test with it.

    BNUC new airworthiness charge £1900+????

The BNUC IS actually the airworthiness certificate (under the guise of a piloting flt test). its a test that your system works more than a test of pilot competence. this conclusion is borne out the fact that I have been directly informed that I will have retest on an exact clone of one of the...
