How many shots and what software?

The image below is the little planet view of the 360° aerial panorama at a hight of 100m,
use the mouse to turn around and zoom into the panorama.

To capture the panorama I use the Sony A6000 with a Samyang 8mm lens.

yep yep live and learn is what we do!
bbc shoot went really well they are using shots everyday in the games
coverage and the second shoot can be seen here too.

I'm using Ptgui for stitching and I need 5 shots from the air and another 5 of the sky from the ground. Usually I take a few more shots just to make sure I have captured everything.
