Aeroxcraft Brushless Gopro Gimbal

The error you are getting is no connection to the board.
I kept getting that too but with M$7 so followed Rob's instructions to the letter, step by step and it worked. Even though you are using XP it may be worth following Rob's instructions and then try again in XP.

I'm trying to find these... are you referring to the PDF "Updating and adjusting the Martinez Brushless Gimbal Board" or something else? Thanks.

The instruction to the driver issues with M$7 are HERE
They are on the one above the one you describe on the support & download page HERE

I know the driver issue should not apply to XP but it may be that in your case it does. If the drivers do not work try downloading the latest drivers available and try those again.

Awesome. Will try this later today, thank you!
I realized what I had done before... I updated the gimbal's firmware with my macbook pro. Took a few seconds and worked perfectly. No drivers to install, no errors. It just works :)
The GUI, however, only works on my PC (which is running XP) as far as I can tell. Hopefully after correcting the driver issue (seems simple enough) I'll be able to do both the settings and updates with my beater field PC. Thank you again for your help!

GOT IT! Uninstalled the drivers as per the PDF, and re-downloaded. I realized I had installed the newer 2.08.28, and the PDF says you MUST use the older 2.08.24. So I downloaded that and installed via the .exe installer and BAM... hooked up, set up my gyro settings and now I have 90º down tilt to straight out ahead. The gimbal performs flawlessly running r61 firmware.

I am getting quite a bit of yaw movement/twitching on my f550, quite noticeable when using the gimbal, any ideas, could it just be a gains issue?

2 * 4000mah, 9 * 5 Graupners

yaw movement/twitching when hands off the yaw axis? Yep, I'd say your gains are too high. Dial 'em back a bit perhaps?

My 550 seems fairly smooth for filmimg and I have the gains set to 130 130 110 130 Basic and 80 80 Attitude

No, that's with hands on, never had it before. Changed the props to 10 x 5 using 4s, will try today.

No, mainly because my EZOSD and FPV run on 3S.
Although I did read somewhere that you can run Graupner 10" on 4S because they are a bit finer than other 10" makes.
There's a discussion about this here:
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=433584

You can run your EZOSD with 4S if you use the voltage sensor because it regulates the voltage for both EZOSD and TX.
As far as using Graupner 10" props you may find difficulty getting them as Graupner went into Liquidation in April so what stock people have is all there is until or if someone takes them over.

I have flown my F550 with 10" DJI and Graupners and 4S and it flys better than with the 8" DJI props. The motors do get a little warm but not hot.

Hi CrashMaster,
www.team-blacksheep.com still has stock on both the 9" and 10" Graupner eProps. I just received my order last week (3 days ago).

9" http://www.team-blacksheep.com/products/product:122
10" http://www.team-blacksheep.com/products/product:123

Hope this helps.

AeroXcraft Gimbal Pitch Control Wiring help?

Hi guys.
I have received my brushless gimbal a couple of weeks ago and (finally) my Hero H3 Black but am yet to make my adapter plate to go between the CX-4 and the Gimbal (currently working on it!).

In the meantime, I am focused on how to connect the pitch control from the gimbal through my S-Bus Rx. Following many emails with the Futaba people, I understand that I can not only use the S-Bus configuration for the NAZA (single wire!) but also assign a separate channel to control the pitch from the gimbal (I an planning to use a slider). I am yet to upgrade my firmware to allow for the 90 degree pitch down, but that can come a little later after I get my Tx to work with the Gimbal.

So - the attached picture should tell the story of what I am planning to do:
View attachment 12445View attachment 12446View attachment 12447

The first picture shows the "test" cable that I made from a left over NAZA 3-wire connector.
Left side connector:
1. I have REMOVED the positive (center) wire (left side connector).
Right Side Connector
2. I have REMOVED the positive (center) wire and moved the signal wire to the center position in the connector so it connects to A1 pin (second picture) The GND stays the same on both connectors.
3. On the S-Bus (right side connector from picture #1), only the top (Signal) and bottom (GND) pins are connected.

Is this correct? I really don't want to fry the board when I plug it in (although I don't think that's possible since the (+) wire has been removed?)

Thanks for reviewing and offering input.
Dale.
