    I have a NAVA M+GPS and a NAZA V2

Will, Once the MR has taken off, it operates the same as the old firmware. You are just experiencing the takeoff function. So, no, once you are in the air and you go below the 50% mark, it will still descend as before. Just like before, though, dropping throttle tonzeromwill shut them off...

Thinking of getting a DJI Multicopter, need some help

You'll want a receiver that has at least 5 channels, preferably 7 to fully utilize the Naza. I use a Futaba R6208SB, but if I were to do it again, I might go for a R6303SB or 6202SB (cheaper, and all you need is a single sbus output). Are you planning on doing video with it? If so, you'll want...

    Differences between Naza-M V1 / V2 and Lite

BurntPixel... See my comments above, but if you plan to use DJI's OSD and/or Zenmuse gimbal on it, then you'll need to go with V1 or V2. Otherwise, you can go with the Lite version and use 3rd party OSD and gimbal. As for "programming" it, don't know exactly what you mean, but I would start by...

    Differences between Naza-M V1 / V2 and Lite

My understanding from reading the DJI information on their website: 1) Yes, you can run other 3rd party gimbal on the Lite and has the same outputs (pitch and roll) for that as the V1 and V2. 2) The sensor and flight control algorithms are the same between all three Naza models.

    Differences between Naza-M V1 / V2 and Lite

No worries. The hardware (i.e. ports in and out of the Naza) will be a little different because of the external hardware it is intended to support; but more importantly, the flying and performance is the same from everything I have read, so no worries there. If you expect to do any somewhat...

    Differences between Naza-M V1 / V2 and Lite

BigBear, welcome to the forum, but please do not post same question in two discussion threads/categories. It makes it difficult for the users to have a cohesive thread to allow full discussion and keeps everyone from seeing the full set of responses/answers. Have fun picking a flight...

    3.7V or 80% for LiPos

Electro, just as a data point for you, I have friends that return to home and land as soon as the 3.5 voltage alarm kicks off, maybe allowing themselves another 30 seconds to finish what they are shooting at the time. The idea is to preserve the batteries as much as possible, and more...

    3.7V or 80% for LiPos

Yeah, I've been tracking each battery's flight times and voltage and capacity filling pretty close for the last 3 weeks and plan to continue doing so now that I use RC Flight Log app and carry it with me everywhere. I also have the voltage on my OSD, as well as audible voltage monitors on my...

    Wookong IMU V2

Mine arrives on Thursday, so I have the same question. For me, dismantling is important, so I wanna make sure I can still do that.

How to determine best batteries setup / flight time

I'll let others chime in for how the battery selection ties in with the motors and props sizes. But I will suggest not putting batteries in series since two 2S batteries doesn't buy you anything a 4S wouldn't. However, if in parallel, that does help and I've read many users on this forum...

FPV flying a quad, Basic Gimble questions- Viewing through camera on a gimbal?

Chris, I don't know what real benefit you will get with having a two camera setup on a quad with a two axis gimbal. Typically a two camera setup is more for when you have a two person setup and a three axis gimbal. That way your FPV camera is for the pilot so he knows where he is flying, and...

    3.7V or 80% for LiPos

Thanks guys for your input. I know I wouldn't be confortable going below 3.3V, especially when I got camera gear on it. CrashMaster, you pretty much described what I was thinking of doing which is to aim for 80%, and monitor each battery to see what voltage gets me there and continue to adjust...

    3.7V or 80% for LiPos

Two rules of thumb I've read around are: 1) Don't run the cells below 3.7V, and be 2) Don't use more than 80% of the battery capacity. These two rules don't seem to jive with each other, unless I'm just misunderstanding them. I started using voyage alarms a few weeks ago and set them to 3.7V...

Newb to the hobby and need advice! :D

As for connecting the Naza, I would recommend reading the Quick Start manual from DJI website. From your receiver, it should be five servo wires (minimum) to the Naza, typically channels one through 5, then the six servo wires to each of the motors.

Eddie, it sounds like u have similar modes to the Naza's "manual" and "attitude" modes. These are known to be more challenging modes since u have to be on both sticks 100% of the time. I can tell u first hand since I am still not proficient at them and am trying to practice 2-3 times a week to...

New Software & Firmware Ready For Phantom and Naza-M!

Martyn, why would u want to switch to the 7008? As Ed pointed out above, the only way it will work with the Naza or Wookong is putting the receiver in Mode B (Sbus only, not Sbus2) which means u loose your telemetry capabilities, if I understand the documentation correctly.

What modes does the Aerofly give you? If you can add GPS to it, it will make it easier. But every good pilot does need to master all the modes, including manual mode, which can be a challenge.
