    Looking to move up. Suggestions

I would suggest you consider getting a DJI F550 (motors, ESC, and all) with a Naza V2 controller, and your pick of any of the new brushless gimbals for smaller camera like the GH3 or NEX. On one hand, you can buy the F550+Naza in a Ready-To-Fly configuration, or alternatively, watch the dozens...

    Traveling to Europe with Phantom

I have a friend that has a Phantom with a mounted GoPro and is traveling to Europe next month. He would like me to ask the gurus here if there are any concerns with equipment and frequencies that he has to worry about, or restrictions he needs to be aware of or permissions he has to apply for...

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

Here's some aerial video I took at a nephew's wedding this past weekend (segments will be part of the main videographers video he is putting together). I had to configure the S800 for single person, so my panning isn't as smooth as I'd like in some places.

Rolf, amazing! For the last several years I've wanted to visit Preikestolen, and just haven't made it there (though I've been able to see other beautiful places in Norway, just further North). Thanks for sharing!

Glad for you! I'm sure you'll be ready for the bigger gimbal in no time, and hope the funding comes in for it!

My first ever in flight video

Congrats on a successful first flight video. Yes, any smoothing feature, whether it be Youtube's, PremierPro, or any video editing, it will degrade the video to some extent, maybe minimally in some cases versus others. Youtube's is especially degrading. If your video needs smoothing, consider...

Nice job! Nice music to set the tone. Are you looking to stay with strictly a video camera? Or maybe something like the Sony NEX-7? or Canon's lighter EOS cameras?

Things They Do Not Tell You

I agree with ChrisViper. I admire the fact that you are still pursuing passions such as MRs and video/photo! Don't give up those passions because of these obstacles. Hopefully we can get you up and flying in no time. Count me in as well to help in whatever way. I'm in Iowa, so I can't help...

    Viewing/storing GPS telemetry?

Yeah, all you do is hookup the Canbus from your Naza or WKM PMU to it, and it will record. Men on the ground connect via USB to you computer to view. (You do have to have a WKM or Naza with a PMU.. Details... :p.)

Things They Do Not Tell You

That kind of support you don't find too often. Way to go Ken! Chris, alternatively, can you tell us roughly where shouts are you? Maybe there is someone local we can point you to.

    Viewing/storing GPS telemetry?

So why not buy the iOSD then? You'll get your recording, and you have future capabilities for video overlay when you want them.

    Naza gps compass calibration

Bummer, dude. Sorry for the loss. What you described may be that whoever soldered that joint may have heated it up too much. I've read that applying too much heat can loosen the pad from the board. What I do is basically melt the solder right above the pad, then as it melts I dab it on the...

    Compass GPS Lock

Shaun, for starters, please do not post the same question on two different threads. It makes people following/reading not be able to know the complete story or solution. I recommend you go to the other thread and state you started this thread and to post replies here instead. But sadly you may...

    Naza gps compass calibration

Shaun, you may have a broken GPS, sadly. I had a similar issue of only getting 3 reds and a green, and I had to get a new GPS. Once I swapped it out, I got my GPS lock and everything was fine. Did you get to the root cause of "it just dropping to the floor"? I would be concerned for flying it...

WKM Bluetooth LED Remote Gain Adjusting

Sorry for delay in responding. But the Assistant Software you will use is the Wookong Assistant Software. The only think you use it for us to update the firmware. To pair the Bluetooth LED to your phone, just turn on the WKM+LED, turn on Bluetooth on the phone, and start the WM Assistant app...

WKM Bluetooth LED Remote Gain Adjusting

Sorry... The download for what? The Bluetooth firmware is downloaded via the Wookong Software Assistant. The iPhone application is in iTunes and its called "WM Assistant". I hope I pointed you to the download you were looking for.

    GPS Mounting

I mounted mine on my S800 in the center on a 10cm stick. The main this is for the props not to interfere with the LOS signal, and get away from the noise of the other equipment as Chris said. To me, the 10cm accomplished both.
