    Manufacturing Drones?

That's a nice looking prototype. Great to see you are using the Pixhawk for the FC. I would want self tightening props so they are easy to install and remove. It's becoming a crowded market so I'm not sure what you can do to stand out feature wise but best of luck.

Why can't we have the best of both worlds in FC's?

This is exactly why I can't believe people don't see the very serious ramifications of a case here in Australia where it was proved in a lab that DJI flight controllers are susceptible to radio interference and can lock out the operator for up to six seconds to prevent false failsafes. Why in...

    Multirotors for filming

I agree that the CM3000 would be great value. I use their two axis gimbals on my GoPros and they work great. But try some adjustments on your copter/TX first. There probably is a way to soften the yaw with some adding some expo in the TX or adjusting the PIDs on the yaw of the flight controller...

One Transmitter can control simuntaneously a lot multirotors ????

Have a look at Arducopter and Mission Planner. It's not well known but Arducopter has 'swarming' capability. I think there are people on DIYDrones that have actually done what you are attempting albeit only with a small number of copters. It probably wouldn't work with micro copters as the...

    Multirotors for filming

Very nice. There appears to be a bit jerkiness in the horizontal movement. I fought something similar for a while but managed to work it out for the most part. You'll need to tell people what setup you are using if you want some specific advice. What gimbal and camera for instance? Cheers.

XAircraft Will the superx have a fast blinking red

I think it will do that also if you haven't done the calibration of the radio and GPS.

CASA (Australian) UAV controller / operator certificate

And to put this in context, the 157.8 days processing time for UAV controllers is to process around 100 applications.

CASA (Australian) UAV controller / operator certificate

Just more evidence that CASA is not the right agency to be handling the licensing of commercial UAV operators. They keep saying this is all in the name of safety but I haven't seen any evidence of this at all. Hopefully Australians will become aware of how much of their money is being tied up in...

Why can't we have the best of both worlds in FC's?

The developers of Arducopter/Arduplane are a very impressive group of people that are highly qualified. I think they would be having very similar discussions about components. 3DR appears to be very progressive and I would be willing to put money on them improving the hardware of the Pixhawk in...

    S1000 flyaway and crash

It's great to hear that they honoured the warranty. I guess that's about the best that could be expected in this case. I would feel much better if someone independent would review DJIs code to ensure there is proper sanity checking on GPS data and that the failsafes trigger and operate as they...

    Aerial Mob Fall 2014 reel

The permission to fly closer in the case I'm referring to was done during the process of obtaining an Operators Certificate and did contain very strict conditions that I doubt many of us could achieve. I don't know if how it was done is confidential or not so I'd rather not be specific. I'm in...

    Whats up from Colorado!!

If you end going with the Iris check out A Complete Beginners Guide (Part 1) that a vendor posted recently on DIY Drones. I thought they did a really good job and found it interesting.

    Aerial Mob Fall 2014 reel

Well, yes and no. I know an operator who can fly within 5 meters under certain conditions. If you can prove your safety case to CASA you can do anything that's safe. I'm doing my CASA OC application right now and I'm trying to work out safety planning for permission to fly within 15 meters...

    Hi...

Being from Turkey you might find this article of interest. It's about a 3D model of the largest mosque in Turkey made from images taken with a multirotor.

    Building my first MultiRotor

Having posted the previous suggestions, you might want to start out with something more plug and play. You can't go past a DJI Phantom or an Iris+ from 3DR for getting experience quickly with minimum fuss.

    Building my first MultiRotor

If your boss wants to use the 3DR flight controller then maybe a 3DR copter would be worth looking at as well? The are a bit on the light side for industrial type use IMHO but the X8 might be useful to you. It has the advantage of having redundancy if a motor goes out as well. BTW, you'll want...

    basic question for a beginner

That really depends on personal preferences. A lot of people here state that building your own is a valuable experience and teaches you a lot. But if you just want to shoot and aren't that concerned with the technology then a ready-to-fly system might suit you better. Again, only you can decide...

    XAircraft Xaircraft?

I was pleased to see Anthony comment here. Living in Australia he's the dealer I purchase XAircraft from. He has been incredibly helpful when I needed support. I can't believe how much patience he has and he really knows what he's talking about. I have never had better support and service than I...
