    Futaba dual receiver question

The 14SG can be set in any of 5 transmitter modes: FASSTest 14CH, FASSTest 12CH, FASST MULTI, FASST 7CH, S-FHSS. As noted by others, the 14SG can be used with other non FASSTest receivers by using the alternate modes. However the R7008SB will only work with transmitters in FASSTest compatible...

DJI released the latest 1552 folding propeller!

Checkout IntelligentUAS.com (formerly RCRUS.com). I ordered 3 sets on Sunday and rec'd them on Wed. Unfortunately I'm traveling and so won't get to take a close look at them until next week. Steve

Two Ecs wired in parallel for X8 configuration

Nah, the key is properly-sized wires. Think of the shared wires as the far end of a power distribution board. For the delivery of energy to the ESC, the electrons don't care about the shape of the conduit as long as there's adequate cross-sectional area for the conductor length carrying the...

I am afraid to maiden my new S800 EVO

Maybe I'm reading this wrong. If you suspend a MR (or anything else for that matter) from a string and let it come to rest, the line of the string if extended across the MR is guaranteed to pass through the COG. However unless you are certain about a lot of other unspoken assumptions, there is...

    Configuring ESCs for Multirotor

I wondered the same thing. Take a look at this video (first one I came across) for some indication of potential benefits: http://youtu.be/SgvhKA2e93U Not the most professional soundtrack, but you want to hear the motors, just not anything else that was recorded. Not saying this is definitive...

Unique Dual RX setup for WKM and Zen

Haven't tried something like you're proposing, however I'm very skeptical of the advice you got & described at the end of your msg. From what i've read in Futaba manuals (which are better than DJI's but still translated into surprisingly poorly English), S.BUS2 ports should only be connected to...

    Another one bites the dust!

Nah, it was a plain s800 (pre-EVO) with WooKong FC and IMU (original not V2 IMU). Whole host of possible failure modes...but not A2-related. Steve

Switching to home lock, can I do that after it has traveled some distance away

Technically, this info is for NAZA-M v1 and v2, not NAZA-M Lite, and AFAIK, the latter has it's own firmware (which has not been updated) while the v1 and v2 share the same firmware upgrade paths. Bensid54, if you haven't already, you may want to take a look at the NAZA Lite support docs...

A little setup help here with Naza V2

I seem to recall in prior threads regarding magnetic declination adjustment that DJI have built-in algorithms to adjust for this as a function of latitude and longitude as determined by GPS. If this is the case, then adjusting the compass orientation may be unnecessary or possibly...

A little setup help here with Naza V2

If you're running an up-to-date firmware on your NAZA-M v2 (or v1 for that matter), be aware ~50% throttle = hover, less than 50% is descent (rate varies as the throttle is lowered), and greater than 50% throttle is ascent. So take off requires moving the stick to something over 50% triggering...

    IMU Mount Options on S800

Ill try to be clearer. Im not proposing a new tray, just a secure and reversible manner by which the IMU is mounted to the existing tray. The new plate is intended to mount to the tray, in a secure but easily and quickly reversible manner. Thus the mounting of the plate to the tray produces an...

    IMU Mount Options on S800

Been thinking about servo tape mounting of IMU to CF or thin plywood plate, and then using zip ties or light bolts (nylon or aluminum) to attach plate to s800 frame. For take down just cut the ties or loosen the two bolts. The key is to allow install / removal without disconnecting the...

    GH3 Zenmuse users

No problem I guess I misunderstood your statement "...I'm aware there is no fix for this and I'm sure it's the same with GH3, GH3 users please confirm." I thought that meant you were sure the same problem applied to the GH3. But now I understand that you didn't know, but speculated that the...

    GH3 Zenmuse users

Why are you sure it's the same with the GH3? This is not a DJI-specific issue, it's a GH2 issue. From what I've read, the GH3 outputs hi-res via HDMI:"I'm testing the Lumix GH3's clean HDMI output together with PIX 220, which I believe is one of the cheapest high quality ProRes/DNxHD video...

    GoPro 3+ Black and H3 2D

Yes, 3 is now discounted to sell off the remaining stock. The value question for those with no H3 is which to get (3 or 3+), if either. If the prices were the same, the decision would be pretty easy to make...with a discount you have to look at a trickier value proposition. I got the 3+. Steve

    DJI S800 batteries

I don't think I've ever seen a recommendation to run two 3s batteries in series for the s800. Of course that would work, in that it creates a 6s power source, but it adds weight and extra connector failure points without and compensatory redundancy. Can't really see any advantage to that setup...

    GoPro 3+ Black and H3 2D

No it's not the same, but the device itself is the same size, within a gram of the same weight and the physical layout of components and controls is the same. Differences include redesigned lens with claimed improvements, revised guts that offer some new capabilities and longer battery life...

New EVO on the bench, observations

Yes, no way to route the motor wires through the motor mount plate without desoldering them from the ESC pads. Unless of course you were to cut through the side of the new motor mount plate, which of course would be a terrible idea. BTW, I was checking out your vids (on IrishCopterFilms.com) and...
