    naza f550 yaw issue

Any recent configuration changes? Compass calibrated? Unlikely explanation but easy to eliminate. How do your blades track horizontally, ie, are they all well-aligned in a single plane? Agree with above comments, can't hurt to lower yaw gain and check other gains as well. Steve

Zenmuse H3-2D and the Assistant Gimbal settings?

No, those settings are for 3rd party gimbal control and are not needed with Zenmuse gimbals. DJI doesn't really make this clear in the online docs however. Steve

Demo Reel- Completly captured with the S800 and Zenmuse

Very nice! Especially enjoyed the sequence with RR tracks. How is you GH2 Zen handling the GH3 hack (motor heat issues?)? Finally, what lens(es) are you using on the GH3? Thanks, Steve

Tricks to make S800 work great.

Looks like the OP has the A2 IMU coming to use with his WKM, not the full A2 system. I suspect may be a v2 WKM IMU because I would be surprised if A2 IMUs are available separately at this early stage in the A2 system introduction. Both of these IMUs share the same machined aluminum case (though...

    3D printed FPV quad

Thanks for the pics and description! It will be interesting to see what your experiences are with the small squadron. What 3D printer and what CAD sw are you using? Any comment on the approximate consumables cost for the whole airframe? Steve

    DJI Zenmuse GH3 Gimbal

Well this is consistent with the text on Page 2 of the Version 1.00 User Manual (2013-09-13 Revision) which states that the 'camera type' is 'Panasonic GH3' and the 'lens type' is 'Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f2.0'. If you take a look at the online manuals for the other Zenmuse Z15 models...

Am i being over cautious here?

iCharger 4010 duo can charge at up to 1500 watts, with upto 48v input. MF, you've been charging at 0.22 C if you're putting 2.2 A into 10,000 mAh batteries. With an appropriately powered charger you'll be delivering 40-50 A during the constant current phase of charging at 4-5 C charge rate. And...

Tricks to make S800 work great.

I don't think the OP has folding DJI props, he has an s800 with EVO arms, not an s800 EVO. I don't think there are any adapters to allow 3rd party blades on the new EVO motors, at least not yet. Steve

    DJI A2 Hands-on

Thanks for the intro review. I look forward to reading about your in-flight experiences. One question, not sure what you mean by '...the cabling on the module has some sort of ferreting component to it." Are you referring to the compenent that is presumably a choke or filter for RFI? Thanks, Steve

S800 EVO, S800, and DJI, Thoughts on Performance and Support

Thanks Patrick, I'm a customer, though not for the whole system because I'm on the East Coast. However your post is consistent with my experience with AMP and some other quality DJI dealers. It's interesting and understandable that when things go wrong, people get upset. But it is also true that...

DJI Release Ground Station software v4.0.7

It should be here: http://www.dji.com/download/wookong-m-waypoint-downloads/ but at present there is no active link (zip file). Not sure why the sw is preceded by '@' as this is convention is usually for firmware references for which there is never a link because firmware files are downloaded...

intelligence in FC - understanding RISK ?

Im not sure that any shipping FC can do the projected remaining energy vs. projected required energy comparison you appear to be asking about. This would be a sophisticated judgement and would require a lot of information relating flight performance, flight conditions (wind speed direction) and...

    Still waiting on S800 EVO

Some US dealers are shipping. See IntelligentUAS (was RCRUS) as example of dji-authorized dealer shipping now with delivery of new orders estimated at 1-2 wks. I've seen their display EVO in their shop and the stack or boxes they had going to pre-orders. Steve PS: Pierre will set you up if...

    Titanium bolts supplier

Based on years of experience with RC cars and trucks, I was surprised that Multirotor builds seem to use only steel. The RC car and truck enthusiasts have vehicle-specific aftermarket screw/bolt/hinge pin/ and turnbuckle kits in steel, stainless steel, titanium, and anodized aluminum. How much...

S800 EVO - landing gear help.

You might use another DJI battery tray or you could use a tray like this: http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet/the-2332/DJI-S800-%28x650V%29-multi/Detail that is designed to fit the s800 frame (ChrisViperM pointed out this option in another thread). I received one of these recently and it's high...

    DJI S800 Evo shipping?

Yes they anticipate delivering 3 units next week, with more due over the next ~2 wks to fulfill their pre-orders. Steve

    DJI S800 Evo shipping?

Visited an authorized dealer today who will be receiving his first 3 EVOs next week. So apparently they are coming to US dealers, finally. Steve

Thanks for posting! I think that's the first documented EVO build and maiden flight documented here. Keep us posted as you gain more flight experiences. Steve

S800 Major Crash - The spin of death

Thanks for posting the pictures. Hard to tell for sure without a macro shot, but the remnants of the failed joint and the remaining intact joints suggest that a 'cold' solder joint may be to blame. Others have commented here and elsewhere that it is tricky soldering these wires because of the...
