And this is why we use the DJI OPTOs, plug and play!
It sounds like a throttle trim thing. The ESCs are seeing high throttle even though the NAZA sees low throttle. Not sure how to fix it to be honest.
It's deserted almost all of the time. They have events on every now and then but they were few and far between. I only came across two days when I couldn't fly in the 3 years I flew there.
I was wondering about the whole Zenmuse thing also. I guess you could remove the HDMI-AV converter underneath the Zen to get a raw HDMI signal out maybe?
Hi mate,
I would highly advise not flying over houses even when things seem to be working fine. We don't want to annoy the public too much if we can avoid it :black_eyed:.
I used to fly here: NW4 1RL. Lots of space and no people around. Not too far from Tufnell Park (if you have a car)...
If you have control of your roll, then yes, easily. Not a problem for two man operation. But for one man operation where I just use the tilt (pitch) then you rely on the inherent roll axis stability.
I find my horizon on the Zenmuse is related to the IMU. Mine went out by a degree after moving the IMU to the landing gear (vibration plate thing). If I move the IMU around whilst powered up you can get the Zen perfectly horizontal. Just an idea but check your IMU is flatly mounted.
Welcome Peter!
Commitment and dedication indeed! It's very strange when your hobby becomes your job, what do you do for a hobby then? I used to spend my free time tinkering with multirotors but now it's full time I find myself at a loss in the evening. Basically 16 hours a day with multis then...
I would highly recommend saving up for a GoPro. Its one of those cameras that will stay with you for a long time. I used a 'keychain spy camera' in the very beginning. Only £10 from ebay. Terrible videos but cheap.
Yes you can ED. Read the whole post my good man :02.47-tranquillity:. I just change the gain/end point when I want to. It's not like you calibrate the compass every flight and I don't use manual mode for the big rigs.
Thanks Chad. I'll try again!
I see you're in Arcata California. Lovely place! My cousin still lives there (he's called Bodhi). I lived in Trinity county for a couple of years. Absolutely loved it! Talk about the great outdoors!
Hmm. I assume you did the transmitter calibration and pressed 'finish' when the sticks were all centered and sliders green? Calibrated the ESCs? I don't think the red wire is your problem but I've never tried anything but the OPTO ESCs as they are reliable and easy to setup.
Hope someone else...
