At the moment, not much. The DJI lightbridge will be around soon offering HD at 2.4GHz. Teradek is good if you get the range extender. Paralinx is jolly expensive but those who have it say good things.

Hi Bart, Well, it should be the same as the GH2 as it fits the S800. So with my ruler I get: 15.5cm between the payload rails (center of rails). 11.5cm between points on one rail. So, on the FRONT picture it's 15.5cm from the mid point of the brackets, and on the SIDE picture it's 11.5cm from...

Totally agree. I use 5.26 as well. It's been out long enough to be reliable. You'll have to get used to the new LED sequences, it's like a disco!

Are you using a Wookong? Which firmware are you running? I used to have this on the older firmware (5.16 or lower) but everything was fine for flying. Stopped doing it with firmware 5.20 and up.

Hey Lec, I'm also a huge fan of GensAce 40C lipos, I have 8. I also have two 25C GensAce and they perform similar. The only difference is the voltage drop in flight is greater on 25C so you may need to lower your voltage warnings. Giant Shark usually have a good stock of all things GensAce.

Great reply. I think we've established that GPS is not affected. But what about other components? It has been documented about electrical surges linked to high solar activity. Not in UAVS or aircraft though, just ground based systems like the power grid.

Super. Sometimes the extra range and penetration may come in handy. I imagine it's just the added power drain I have to take into account, although 3W doesn't sound like too much...I was just worried about overloading the GCU. I'm very cautious when it comes to change! Cheers big ears!

I noticed the solar storm and decided not to fly yesterday. I honestly think we're being over cautious though. The only actual research papers I could see from a quick glance on the web all seemed to suggest GPS receivers worked better when the Kp was high. Go figure? Anyone find any research...

Hey Quinton, This was my exact experience when a motor went out. You could hardly tell except the blade stopped. Still had full control, albeit slow to respond to yaw. Brilliant that you got it on video!
