Wookong experts need fail safe advice

For Spektrum, if you dont mind me saying Hexacrafter, its not about binding it twice, it's about using two slightly different procedures. To set the channel failsafes anything other than middle and throttle at zero you insert the bind plug and power up the receiver. Now remove the bind plug with...

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

Our range has not been fantastic yet. Didn't get 250m before loosing signal the other day. However, we were out over the sea and we were using a Spektrum transmitter next to the Connex receiver. We have now moved to Futaba and using the SBUS link built in to the Connex and just waiting to test...

Another CAA Conviction in the UK

Just cuff it with a drone until you end up fined or sued for breaking the law. Question for you White Wonder, why do you drive on the left side of the road? If you cant get the fact that laws are required then you have proven beyond all doubt that you cannot operate with common sense. Which...

    CAA permissions fee

Which law in 2014, I didn't mention any law specifically? The only law that applies to drones is the ANO 2009 of which just 2 paragraphs pertain to drones, articles 166 and 167. These haven't changed for years now. There are no other laws relating to the CAA. Full stop end of story. De...

New Release: MaxAmps Signature Series 10900mah 6S 22.2v LiPo battery

With Maxamp ratings- when they say 120C rating they, unlike other manufacturers, are referring to the peak rather than the constant.

    CAA permissions fee

Name one extra law that the CAA has throw at us in the last 3 years? Name one law which it is aiming to throw our way in the future- bearing in mind the move is to DE-REGULATE to a degree?

Another CAA Conviction in the UK

True, but with a well written safety case you can do a lot with a heavy lifter- 10m from the public and in built up areas is the permission we currently have for example.

    ESC setting for u7 420

Turn off soft cut off and you tend to get hard cut off. Soft cut off is definitely the preferential option!

    CAA permissions fee

Seriously, look at what the government is doing to hobbyists. It isn't providing more legislation it is trying to do the opposite and there is very little as it is so what's your beef? If you want to work commercially then regulations are required and if you dont understand that then the mind...

    CAA permissions fee

That just shows such a lack of understanding of life in general. As such I doubt your 'common sense' is actually up to much.

Another CAA Conviction in the UK

Well the move in Europe is towards less rather than more legislation at the moment. Your are only likely to face more legislation if your operation starts to present more risk such as flying a heavy lifter in a built up area.

    A2 Antenna broken

Two options I would say, 1/ plug in a receiver and use that or 2/ get a new MC (they can be bought separately although not sure how easy to find. Kopterworx do them for sure: http://kopterworx.com/dji-a2-mc.html)

    Best motor

Sleepy has nailed the reply. With that said, in my experience you wont go far wrong with T-motor and you will go even less wrong with KDE motors which nothing else comes close to in my mind. However I am used to messing around with heavy lift motors so things could be different at the light end.

KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

I did a replication of the KDE response test on the bench. I took a KDE 5215 435kv motor and KDE ESC and compared it to a U7 420kv with T-Motor ESC. Just as in the KDE video, the KDE setup was MUCH more responsive (both using 18x6.1 Tiger props). Not a particularly scientific test for sure but...

    Hello from Malaysia, Asia

Hi Morp and welcome. Despite being in UK I didn't know anyone flying MRs when I started and learnt all MR specific stuff purely from this great forum and dare I say it by reading the manuals! So I hope you find this place as useful as I have. Good luck and safe flying.

What kind of forum is this?

Wow man that sounds like FPV racing on crack! Get's my vote as it sounds fun (here's the boring bit) if properly controlled.
