    CF prop options

I won't deny there are trade offs necessary at times and agree the T-Motor props are currently the best available, but, better could be designed;)

Not sure what you meant by the continuing dots in the watch the video sentence. Please elaborate. I may be way off on the price point but the number I used was what I had heard about it. I did not verify. It does look like the biggies are targeting the same markets commercial MR's and people...

Yea, there's some code confusion between the GPS and compass with a particular product and periodically they get pretty confused. TechBill hit the nail pretty solid when he referenced personnel with the talent levels of Boeing, etc. Some of them are taking advantage of a solid code foundation...

    Need some less expensive motors

The BME 102 is another that established new performance standards. Keith Baker did it right with the 102 and it formed the basis for the 105 and the later problem prone 115, which evolved into a super performer with the reed and carb change making it the 116. I have the second 115 ever...

Wonderful addition to the site. I would love to know a lot more about the new Alta and the capabilities of their FC.

    CF prop options

You really want the solid carbon blades. The sandwich style permits more blade flex, which equates to thrust loss. Unfortunately we have to be on the alert for some of the "off brand" manufacturers that don't use a quality pre-preg in the lay up. You'll know which ones they are by the really...

    Need some less expensive motors

The Zenoah GT-80 is pretty much a benchmark engine. Not the most modern, or the lightest, and to obtain the best performance needs to spin at a higher RPM level than some other 80's, but the engine is pretty much bullet proof. As one well respected gentleman before me has said many times, I...

Don't know what you're trying to do but for pretty good reliability I like Sunnysky for the less expensive stuff. Would these work? http://www.banggood.com/Sunnysky-X4110S-460KV-Brushless-Disc-Motor-for-Multicopter-p-953295.html

The term "light years ahead" was mentioned earlier, and it was an understatement. With Super X, Pixhawk, and Vector one can easily see everything that was going on and determine what happened and why. With anything DJI a large portion of the data collected is hidden from the user and has to be...

There's a company (not multirotor specific) in Oregon that pretty much did just that, They had a bunch of mysterious crashes so they dissected the code in the most popular line of FC's. They dumped them shortly after that and changed everything they were doing over to Pixhawk and have a PhD...

Not to establish a new battlefield, but there's no reason a $1,200 "professional" FC should, from product release to the present, repeatedly generate control loss in the same manner, without it being addressed by the manufacturer.

    DJI E800 jitter and shaking

I agree with getting rid of the Naza. Another option, and one I know flies an 810 smoothly, is the Eagle Tree Vector. Costs about double the Tarot FC though. Sleepy, you almost have me talked into trying the Tarot FC, but the Vector OSD is hard to let go of.

    Pixhawk Hexacopter Flipping on Takeoff

Could be.... Balance matters quite a lot too. Try to get everything as close as possible to being in balance. The copter will generally quickly lean opposite the weight imbalance during a T/O, often with poor results, especially if you try to "baby" the throttle during the lift off attempt.

Because you've earned it, that's why!

If it can be used to sell product, it will be done. The term "consumer drone" says it all.

    Chroma™ Camera Drone with 4K CGO3 and ST-10+

Yuneec is the company making the Hanger 9 quads. They are actually pretty good, using a version of the Pixhawk FC. Not being required to have a separate smart device to operate it is a very smart design move. No apps to crash or be exploited, no issues with different operating systems. The...

    Falcon Drone System Frame plates.

I really like the battery mount plates. Similar would function well with Tarot 810 and 1000 frames. Extending the L/G out the sides a little bit as was done with the Vulcan plates would also be great. Improved functionality, expansion room for options, cleaner installs.
