Ran my brushless motors under water (video)

Thought they were joking when they said to clean them by running them underwater.

Surveyed the damage to my crashed quad (video)

It could have been worse but luckily the quad crashed on its landing gear.

I destroyed my homemade quadcopter from 200ft. Pieces everywhere.

Sorry if this is a double post but I did not see my previous response. The crash could have been worse. In reality I only lost, one motor, three props, a couple of motor mounts, and part of the frame.

I destroyed my homemade quadcopter from 200ft. Pieces everywhere.

Y That crash didn't look too bad. Was there a lot of damage? What flight controllers do you like?

I destroyed my homemade quadcopter from 200ft. Pieces everywhere.

I really screwed up this time. I think my battery cable came undone at 200 feet. Luckily I always fly it over my own house when I get to high altitude. It came crashing down on my own deck... Little pieces everywhere. It was plummeting really fast. Serves as a reminder how dangerous the big...

Daughters first phantom flight. Me playing with my homemade quadcopter.

I let my daughter fly the phantom for her first time. I think she enjoyed herself but it is hard to know what is going on in the mind of a 15 year old girl.

I tethered my drone to a battery on the ground.

I was wondering the same thing. You wouldn't think so since it can't go more than a couple of hundred feet.

Crash video of my quadcopter... My mistake. Forgot to change remote back to quadcopter

It was bound to happen sooner or later. I crashed my homemade quadcopter testing a new gimbal. Like a dummy I forgot to change the remote back from my hexacopter to my quadcopter. Surprisingly there was very little damage.

Got an eBay DSLR gimbal. Any advice or photos of your setups?

For $349 they better work good :-) I do however see some in the future, but for now my main focus is getting a good quality 4k camera on a working gimbal. When I took off with the weight attached I almost had a panic attack, but the Drone handled the wait like it was nothing. It surprised me...

Cheap Walkera G-2D brushless gimbal hack. Eliminated a lot of vibration.

This was my last attempt at making this thing better. I would recommend ordering a cheap goodluckbuy gimbal from china for half the price and twice the wait. I was able to get decent footage using an ear plug hack. Ear plugs?

Got an eBay DSLR gimbal. Any advice or photos of your setups?

Had a couple of issues that I am addressing. Does anyone have any photos of their setups. I am curious how people mount their gimbals.

I tethered my drone to a battery on the ground.

I thought I had more wire but maybe it was a good thing I didn't. I like the simple concept and don't think it is necessary to spend a fortune on an already built system.

Best beginner drone for the money (Syma X5c)

For the price it would be hard to beat if you are a beginner. I still play with this drone all the time.

Homemade quadcopter failure. Not even in the sky.

Nail polish... Loctite... I just poured Gorilla Glue all over the nuts and bolts and I can assure you nothing is going to come loose. :) In the below video I fixed a design flaw. It took me quite a while separating the parts.

Shot my first 4K. A little late I know.

I just built a computer that can handle the file size. My old computer kept on crashing. Probably the video card.
