I used duct tape to eliminate the vibration on my Walkera gimbal. Will be experimenting a little more with this.

Made a slight improvement in efficiency and now I don't have to worry about the props taking out a wire or hitting the frame.

Had to relocate the props of my scratch built quadcopter a couple of inches due to them coming very close to the frame and wires. One of the props actually skimmed a screw on the frame a couple of times. Not good..

I have to say, the Phantoms produce a much better quality video than they do an image.

I didn't account for the flex in the 17 inch props. One of them is skimming a screw.

Well then, just imagine how many marriages have been saved by drones. No time to fight.

I have been working 12-hour days for the last two years as of May. This is how I choose to spend my free time. Not sure what that says about me although I am sure my wife would come up with something.

You want an easy to fly drone for your first period I would also recommend the Syma x5c. I bought a racing drone first and constantly crashed it. I was buying props by the Dozen, literally. The above post gives some great advice. I would also recommend building a larger drone for a first drone...

Great link, fascinating, and I know those guys have some big brains. I wonder how their tests would compare to real world use. That would also be an interesting test. Kind of wish they were using a similar motor and prop to what I just used. the biggest prop they used was a 14 inch. Very cool.

This was shot with 2 quadcopters, a Phantom 3 Standard, and a couple of days later, the Phantom 3 Advanced. When viewing the footage on my computer, it became apparent the footage from the Advanced was of far better quality. It took some editing to bring the Standard's footage up to par.

I like the concept but the results have never been that good. I think this will be the last time I try it.

Just a quick video update. I am getting better quality video now that I removed the extra dampening plate. Check it out.

I know this is a cheap gimbal (Walkera) but I can't tell if it is the quad or the gimbal. This is the 2nd quad that I got the same jello. Both had balanced props.

Gimbal fail. Thought I was going to crash.

This quick video was shot about 5 minutes from my house, 10 if you include the stop at Starbucks. This is my favorite go-to spot when I get the urge to fly. The scenery never gets old.
